Another point for dash buttons! They let you be able to dash with only your left hand on your controller, which means that you can dodge attacks while trying to scan stuff.

Yeah Zeph, are you sure about upping the charged beam's damage by HALF?! It was already very strong on fat enemies, now it's going to melt them. I think it needs some kind of diminishing damage the more ticks it does or something now.

I completely forgot about the Morph Ball's focus! I literally just used it for that Ridley fight, then never again.

Lack of a map didn't bother me at all. I felt that this Gate was simple enough to not need one, in fact, and I enjoyed trying to remember where I needed which things.

Wow yeah, the color zones got a GIGANTIC size upgrade. I wonder if really makes much of a difference though.

So, despite it not being a gate, I like calling the Vault the "Distorted Travesty gate". It just makes sense in many ways, we've already seen a few here.

I never managed to successfully wall-dash in the laser shaft thing. That room took me like 30 minutes to beat, and here raocow just powers through like like it's proverbially no thing. I feel inferior.

Yeah, I have just reached the boss of Nightmare Gate E and this Mountain Temple still strikes me as the hardest thing in the game. Shouldn't the traps do less damage or something?

I dunno why but Blackmore/Blackmoor gave me a *ton* of trouble. Maybe because I had no defensive upgrades so I took 6 damage instead of 4 like raoman?
