That upside-down room surely stuck out and not just because of rao's problems there. It's the only room in the entire game that's upside down and immediately requires the player to do precise wall jumps without first easing the player into the inverted controls. Post-game or not, that's a bad design...

About the Ninji section, I'm not sure how Mario Bros X works, but wouldn't it have been possible to cheese your way trough it by throwing the shell at them, waiting for it to fall down the pit and backtrack to the Koopa to grab another one? Or does he count as killed once the shell falls down a pit?...
