It's been a while since I played but if I recall you don't 'have' to start flying immediately after jumping, ie you could do a long jump, not hold down the button, then start flying whenever you want, that might have helped in the race.

The minigames were randomly opened for me too in the latest version, and oddly enough

getting the records to unlock them, locked some back up... good job I got the stars while I could.

So just a heads up, releases might be a bit rocky because of the holidays coming up, personal issues and also being slightly burned out from getting all the Book 1 stuff done in time, I might be able to get one out for the weekend but it definitely won't be tommorow. Oh sweet new sprites. I made one of Van ages back if you want some colour references, he wears mostly darker things. And although I use my cane as a walking stick it has no curve, it's more like a long staff kinda thing.

No problem, I know there's a bit of a bumpy transition between the books which might be offputting to some I imagine, but it makes me happy knowing some peeps are still listening in. ^^

Ah Markoth, it's kinda amazing how much hate I have for him because of Godmaster when in the main game he wasn't an issue at all. Some good progress today though raocow, I think it's fine if you potentially have to skip some days if you don't make it further than the last video.

Sisters of Battle is a pretty great reveal, I didn't die to them on my run through the 5th Pantheon but I think I came close, the panic sets in pretty fast.
