Re: La-Mulana - The Lurking Horror
Using sub-weapons or not is viable and no shame in any method. Also I approve of the facetank method for most bosses in La-Mulana since almost all of them are kinda bad. (Don't actually do that to the remaining ones, you won't have a good time doing that.) Viy and Bahamut I feel are the most jank du...

Re: La-Mulana - One Eye Open
Sebby.
No, we shouldn't tell him about that. A potential item missed there is just part of the game and that is only missable waaay down the road. Not really anything to worry about. And I'm on the, only give clues/hints when raocow specifically asks for them, thing.

Re: La-Mulana - Endless, Nameless
Since he's past the puzzle that 'technically' requires it, I don't see an issue with giving him, at the surface level, what he missed about it. It's getting him up to where he should be on the game's world. I find it absolutely bullshit that the sigils being numbers is some big spoiler, fuck that no...

Re: La-Mulana - Endless, Nameless
If raocow is specifically asking for a clue/hint (via text), then I think it's fine to give it to him. The gate puzzle you don't even need to spell it out, but a hint regarding the concept of it would be fine. raocow even made a good guess. (but then immediately forgets about it) To answer your ques...

Re: La-Mulana - BSE
I remember that dumb riddle from grade school. The LM puzzle in question is a bit silly, but no comparison to the leaps you have to make for that schoolyard one.

Re: La-Mulana - Little Blue Men
During my first playthrough, I beat Zu right around the same time raocow did, just bashing my face against it until winning because I was unsure of what else to do at the time. I'm expecting raocow to fight an early Baphomet, though he's honestly well equip for it. I think he'll figure out the witch...

Man, the Twin Labs pit of despair. Everyone falls into the pit. Looking forward to you falling in again.
I was giggling a bit when you were going to that Twin Labs grail point and straight up laughed when you warped out.

Re: La-Mulana - Slap That Fish
So much opened up, here come the times of getting lost soon. How much is boss battle :P The 4th boss is the first real big boy challenge imo Half-agreed, he's always felt very RNG based, though highly mitigated of course if you hit him on his way down when he flops toward the raft. Bahamut still fee...

Re: Super Mario Doomsday - Daleks in the Sky with Diamonds
Got pointed to this thread. The DT games did not use Game Maker's built in save system as I find it essentially unusable. Basically all games that I know of made in any version of Game Maker just use its text file writing functions, which is all DT did.

Re: Nintendo Switch presentation
I didn't read this thread but I preordered Breath of the Wild for Switch even though I haven't preordered a Switch cause I was too late (and wasn't really trying that hard). I put myself on the email waitlist thing on Amazon in case they ever add more preorders, which I'm not sure if that's a thing...

Re: What games are you playing?
Other than the last fishing quest, I did everything FF15 has to do. Got the platinum trophy as well which I didn't even realize I had. I beat my first Menace dungeon . After every encounter Prompto just continuously said, "Woohoo, we're alive! Let's celebrate by eating something dead!" Aft...

Re: Nintendo Switch presentation
That presentation was pretty bad. If the translator were at least monotone, one could at least enjoy it from a pseudo deadpan perspective, but that wasn't even given. The world's most boring translator aside, a lot of it didn't have a feeling of excitement to it. Luckily presentation != product and ...

I doubt they'd release both Zelda and a main line Mario game at the same time. Nintendo probably doesn't want to compete with themselves. I'm thinking Mario is a summer release.

Re: Worst raocow Let's Play 2016
I'm unsure if this means 'worst game' or 'worst lp' but in assuming the former, I'm gonna go with Drama Mystery 2 . I just didn't like the level design of the game very much. It seemed to stay the same overall. raocow himself was still entertaining though. On a side note, if it were the latter of th...

Each of those are clear representations of their sex as seen by grade school kids. (Humorously, even last year, I got a "hurr durr, r u a gurl, hurr durr" comment from someone, to which I had to remind them that we were adults and no longer in grade school.)
