JUMP!
I don't have anything to say for this other than, boy this will be a very nice hack after the last one.
Also that's Wild Arms? It straight up sounds like Ecstasy of Gold.

Re: Mighty No. 9 - Better Than Nothing
This game is like a steak knife with no handle - cuts just fine but you'll hurt your hand trying to cut yer meat! Its less the gameplay being terrible so much as the lack of polish. The graphics, the sounds, the music, the voices, each stage is just a visual and auditory cacophony. And when it isn't...

Re: Donkey Kong Country (La-Banana)(The Great Kongo Bongo Civil War)(LP Subforum Thread one thou- er, make that 999)
raocow I feel you on crocotpus chase, man: Those stupid squids in the last room killed me so many times... I think its because everything else in the game moves in very predictable left/right patterns and, as a kid, the squids jutting around feels like the most unpredictable and erratic movement in ...

Re: Re: Sticky: LP Subforum Thread 999
The minecart levels are super fun and I have never understood the hate for them at all. The problem with the minecart level is simple - you don't really know when you're supposed to jump. This is a problem with DKC's graphical style. It's clear to your eye where the track ends but you don't know wh...

Re: Donkey Kong Country - Kong Island
Oh! It's DKC! The game with the judging tree-faces!
This game is really hard but, its also really chill. The atmosphere is something it has over it's better sequels.

Re: Mega Man 10 - The Long Goodbye
MM10 might actually be my favorite of the classic series. Great stages, bosses, music (the boss theme is amazing), and the Wily Stages are the most entertaining and fleshed out yet. I always got the feeling they meant for this to be the classic series' wrap-up so they wanted to really go out with a ...

Re: Mega Man 9 - Retro Reboot
I really like this fortress boss. Its like a boobeam trap but actually good. You wouldn't think something so simple would require you to hone your reflexes so much.
I can't remember if there's a trick to the boss or if its weak to a weapon.

Re: Mega Man 9 - Retro Reboot
Man, MM9 is really sparse with it's backgrounds. The old games you'd have all kinds of background tiles and junk but here they really put all their chips into the minimalism thing. Not complaining, because I like the aesthetic. But with concrete man especially the abundance of black is really notice...

Re: Mega Man 9 - Retro Reboot
MM9 definitely has good music. I personally like 10's stages the best, but 9 may have the single best stage select track.

Re: Mega Man 4 - The Best Downfall Ever!
MM4 has some weird continue music.
The game over theme for 3 was such a nice little tune, and in this one its just "WHOOPS! AHYUCK HYUCK HYUCK!"
All these years and I never knew you could shoot those rocks...

Re: Mega Man 3 - Classic Rock vs. Blues
As for Dokurobotto stages, I think the worst thing about those is that they are much harder than Wiley stages. In fact, I think this is the easiest Wil(l/e)y stage in entire classic NES Mega Man series (ignoring rematch thing, because some robot masters in MM3 are hell even with weaknesses, and str...

Re: Mega Man 2 - The Beginning
In this episode, raocow rides some platforms and I wonder "Wait what do those leaves sound like? They sound familiar." And then I remembered . And now you can't unhear it. I enjoy the fact that after a perilous platforming section the like of which the world has never seen is followed by a...

Re: Mega Man 2 - The Beginning
If one thing can be said of Mega Man 2, it is that it had the best stage select theme. Its like a rogue's gallery. A flash is followed by an explosion. You could also argue that time ends with the heat death of the universe. Furthermore, time is encapsulated by a clock, which has spokes that tell ti...

Re: Mega Man - The Man that is a Robot Kid
Mega Man 1 is a pretty silly game right up until you fight the yellow monster. Then the fate of the entire world rests upon your 12-year-old self beating the game. Pretty serious. The weirdest thing about the game is there aren't many enemies that I would describe as 'quirky robots.' Instead they're...

Okay! I finally figured all that fireball jazz out. It works in the level just fine. So I tried to put it into it's own API, but then I get this error: https://rpgmaker.net/media/content/users/21279/locker/hostObjecterror.png I went to mainV2.lua to check it out, but it looks as though its just defi...

Re: LunaLua Help
Okay lets get cracking! I want to make a level based around the Starman, but I also want to try making some modifications to it's code (specifically, add a counter for after the music loops end and make use of the Colliders API), I think I understand what's going on for most of it, but some of the f...

Re: Let's Play JUMP! A talkhaus non-ASMT Mario Romhack - Episode 16 - Yellow Yomp
Oh hey a JUMP lets play. I wasn't a big part of the project other than my three minor submissions, so this is the first time I'm seeing the whole big picture. I think my favorite so far is Pipes in Literally Everyone's Business (certainly my candidate for best name). This is a good LP. You're doing ...
