Re: MAGL X Rejected Level Names List
Hey, I wouldn't mind contributing a level made out of one of my rejected level names (I don't remember last year's but I easily remember this year's).

It's about time we got a little place to discuss the joys of our favorite flightless bird, maybe even post pictures if we want to.

Re: R.I.P. Sir Terry Pratchett
I first became acquainted with Sir Pratchett's works when I borrowed an anthology of the books that featured Rincewind the Wizzard. I haven't read any of his other stuff, but I've been meaning to. It was really good stuff, and I lament the loss of yet another creative genius.

Re: El Gurdyioza: A SMBXtroidvania feat. Sheath
Whoa, this looks neat! The way I see it, SMBX almost seems like it was designed as a Mario level creation tool, with Link thrown in as an after thought, like "oh yeah, he's here, too." It's refreshing to see a whole game built around Link's (or in this case, Sheath's) play style. I'd be wi...

Re: Your username's story?
One day I decided I wanted a username that wasn't affiliated with my old ones, so I put random words together. One in particular I remember wanting was something along the lines of "Poison Star", but that was taken on the site I was registering on. So, I mashed some more words together, an...

Hi, Ultratapir, and welcome to the talkhaus! Entering MAGLX2 is an excellent way to make an entrance; when I joined the talkhaus last year, I did a similar thing with the first MAGLX, and I found it pretty fun. :)

I have a shiny defiant one that I wouldn't want to trade (named Lovely. X3 ), but if you want, I could pop her into the daycare and whip up a defiant kid for you. Re: Regarding SMBX Link
I don't really like Link in SMBX because his play style is just so drastically different from anything you'd expect in a Mario game. I guess if there was a level built exclusively around his mechanics it could be good, but I generally roll my eyes when I'm forced to play as the little green elf.

Re: Overlooked Environments and Atmospheres
A level environment I haven't seen in a whole lot of video games would be plains/farm land. They can be pretty beautiful and peaceful; might make for a good "first level". Otherwise, the reason it probably isn't used is because plains are relatively featureless, so the terrain isn't very i...

Nocturna
While technically not the latest movie I've watched, I did see this one recently. It reminds me of something Studio Ghibli would do, and I love it.
