Re: Yep. (NP: Mega Man X4)

(2) Jet Stingray [X] / (2B) Magma Dragoon [Zero] Zero's run was recorded first so that I could take notes in the head on what it'd take to pull of no-damage runs as X. After playing Stingray's stage, I knew that's exactly where I wanted to start since there are a lot of little things that you have ...

Pepsi is absolute soda swill. Coca-Cola any day of the week. Heck, even Dr. Pepper. Sugar-free in both cases though, thanks. Caffeine-free on top of that for Coke. Don't need the extra energy. Anyway, this is a game. Have fun with it!

Re: Yep. (NP: Mega Man X4)

(1) Opening Stage - Sky Lagoon [X] / (1B) Opening Stage - Sky Lagoon [Zero] It's only been four and a half years since I used this topic. Perfect time to bring it back up since I like keeping the other one in chrono(non)logical order. In any case, the last time I did a fully showcased series of Meg...

Re: WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ - GRID!

I know it was done sporadically, but it really does feel like this series went on for longer than it actually did. That said, it was fun.

Re: What games are you playing?

Actually did wind up having the time to finish all the goals for the special ending in 30XX . It helps that few of those goals involve doing a full playthrough. Another nice Mega Man inspired game to cap off the year. Along with Gravity Circuit and the more Shovel Knight-like Bat Boy, this was a goo...

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2 - "He's just showing off." "Yeah, he's just showing off that gorgeous ass of his to...uhh..."

Been binging episodes lately in a foolish attempt to catch up, through episode 16 now. I like how the game's gone from fun to whoa for you. That's basically how it went here. They took what worked in Galaxy gameplay-wise, added on to that, and chopped out the whole downtime in the hub to make it pur...

Re: What games are you playing?

Yeah I think all my interest in Spyro 3 has been killed by this point. I also felt like the games got worse with each sequel when I played that trilogy, and noticeably so at that. 1 was so focused on platforming that it was great, 2 still had platforming but mixed it up with some gimmick challenges...

Re: What games are you playing?

Got my first full run done of 30XX this morning. It was down to the wire with me on the last hit a couple times in the final level even with the ton of HP I brought into the fight. Still made it through, and that felt nice. There's an extra ending on top of that, but I'll count it as beat here since...

Re: What games are you playing?

Since they patched it on the Switch, and I'm trying to get small doses of game time between video editing, playing 30XX right now. The slightly modified levels in each run always throw me off, and there are a couple of bosses that just absolutely wreck me, especially if they're fought later in the r...

Re: Top 3 Best & Interesting 2023

[Best] 1) The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - Breath of the Wild was more about being dumped into a new world and just letting you go at it like the original Zelda 1. This game, while it can be played like that if you're new to the series, is basically taking that world and turning it into ...

Re: What games are you playing?

Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is done. Platforming and puzzle stuff was fun, the combat was miss early but got better with some of the boss fights later on. All in all, an okay experience that I'm glad got patched up because that improved my take on the game overall. 4 was still more fun to me th...

Re: What games are you playing?

Trine 5 is going better than it was before. Playing in co-op doesn't causes the game to crash after the latest update, at least so far. I did do a chapter or two on my own, but played a few others with my friend on this. Just a few chapters left in the game now. It remains just there in the grand s...

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2 - "Where was he hiding that Star?" "You don't wanna know...gotta hide it from the TSA agents."

Yeah, Mega Man 9 (along with probably a ton of other indie games) were finally breaking that whole 2D stigma that plagued consoles for a couple generations there. Seeing the bigger franchises go back to it was nice.

Re: What games are you playing?

In between making MMX4 vids, I've gone back to playing Trine 5 on the PS5. This is still not SMB Wonder, the other game I stopped playing earlier in the fall, but figure I won't get as engrossed in this one that I slow down on the editing like I would Mario. Besides, I was more than halfway done wit...

Re: What games are you playing?

That Suika Game continues to be fun for when I want a quick time waster between editing vids. Got my first 3000 point game in it a bit ago and was at a melon + coconut (the one before melon) on the field before a different piece of fruit went flying out of play.

Cloud Mario's fun just because even without the clouds behind you, your jumps still have more air to them.

Re: What games are you playing?

I can't remember the last good Super Sonic fight in one of his games noting that I haven't touched Frontiers yet, but Sonic Superstars ? You are not that. Anyway, I did the finale of the second half of the game which was bad enough with a variety of one-hit KO attacks and then faced a final boss tha...

Re: What games are you playing?

Since they were cheap for the holiday weekend, and I was in the mood for both of them, I picked up a couple online games for the Switch. The one I gave a quick play to was that newly popular Watermelon/Suika Game one. The other one which I haven't played yet is the definitive edition of Save Me Mr. ...

First time in a month I bothered to play the PS5 here and went back to Sonic Superstars to actually try and go for the true ending. Currently doing what needs to be done

by playing through Trip's story which is basically hard mode

to do that.

Re: What games are you playing?

Never mind. They made it real easy to plow through the postgame in Star Ocean: The Second Story R with the right skills set in a few hours. Since this isn't a trophchievement run because it was on the Switch, that's that. Still have never done a run with Rena as the main character, but I'm good for ...

Pretty much did a marathon session in Star Ocean: The Second Story R to go all the way from finishing off the field dungeons all the way to the end of the game. Postgame stuff might have to be put on the backburner for a bit, so that's why I made sure to get my fill in the last couple of days. Great...

Re: What games are you playing?

Now I'm doing all character completions for every level. I kinda felt after 100%ing world crown I'd like to keep my momentum of continuing to tackle the challenging stages, so I'm working backwards through the whole game, and it'll wind down with the easier levels at the end. It's kind of just a ma...
