(4) Slash Beast [X] / (4B) Slash Beast [Zero] It's tough to mess up a train level in video games as long as your game's fun. This game is fun, so both the audience and I figured we'd do this one next for both characters. Didn't really plan that one out, did we, me? The only time the vote and my pic...

Re: What games are you playing?

Pretty long session in Final Fantasy 1 Pixel Remaster tonight. Went from no fiends beat to having all but the fire one down. Levels are in the high 30s without much grinding outside of the start, so yeah. I think I'm going to bum rush that last one and then go straight for the end next time.

Re: Yep. (NP: Mega Man X4)

(3) Web Spider [X] / (3B) Split Mushroom [Zero] X gets to take on what is definitely the best choice to start with in this set. It's not the easiest stage in the world to no-damage run, and that's because it's one of the longest. Still, that leg upgrade the game practically gifts you early on is on...

Re: Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing - Everybody's Super Sonic Racing, Even raocow.

Had to add that new emote to the first post after this last video. Honk! You're getting the hang of tricking and drifting already, so the rest of beginner should go pretty well. I think you could even take on the second level of difficulty other than the whole track memorization thing. It'd be much ...

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2 - "That would change Mario forever." "How?" "They'd have to put down Yoshi for being useless."

I thought the final boss was better in the first game, but yeah, just about everything else is better in the sequel. They want you to get out there and play the levels, and yeah, taking that boring storybook and hub out helped. Only really liked Delfino Plaza for the bigger hubs in 3D Mario games.

Re: What games are you playing?

I finally broke out my old capture card again to see if it still worked. Made it from the start of Final Fantasy 1 Pixel Remaster to beating Astos down in about 90 minutes of recording. No errors either which was really nice. That tells me it was my old computer that was the issue back when we tried...

Re: Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing - Everybody's Super Sonic Racing, Even raocow.

So since it's a Sonic game, landing successful tricks gives you a boost. I don't remember how it is in the original, but you can do stuff like up to triple flips and rolls for the maximum boost power on landing. Of course, if you screw it up and land mid-trick, you spin out. As for drifting, you're ...

Re: Game Goals for 2024

Just do a little more on the channel instead of messing around in my own time as much. Beating games is fun, but I wouldn't mind recording some non-Mega Man stuff for streaming or longform vid purposes. Case in point, I'm looking at that Final Fantasy 35th Anniversary Pixel Remaster case as I'm typi...

As long as you round that Japanese corner before a giant Pepsi can crushes you, it's good.

Anyway, congrats on stat-padding the game clears at the end of the year here.

Pepsi is absolute soda swill. Coca-Cola any day of the week. Heck, even Dr. Pepper. Sugar-free in both cases though, thanks. Caffeine-free on top of that for Coke. Don't need the extra energy. Anyway, this is a game. Have fun with it!

Actually did wind up having the time to finish all the goals for the special ending in 30XX . It helps that few of those goals involve doing a full playthrough. Another nice Mega Man inspired game to cap off the year. Along with Gravity Circuit and the more Shovel Knight-like Bat Boy, this was a goo...

Been binging episodes lately in a foolish attempt to catch up, through episode 16 now. I like how the game's gone from fun to whoa for you. That's basically how it went here. They took what worked in Galaxy gameplay-wise, added on to that, and chopped out the whole downtime in the hub to make it pur...

Yeah I think all my interest in Spyro 3 has been killed by this point. I also felt like the games got worse with each sequel when I played that trilogy, and noticeably so at that. 1 was so focused on platforming that it was great, 2 still had platforming but mixed it up with some gimmick challenges...

Got my first full run done of 30XX this morning. It was down to the wire with me on the last hit a couple times in the final level even with the ton of HP I brought into the fight. Still made it through, and that felt nice. There's an extra ending on top of that, but I'll count it as beat here since...

Since they patched it on the Switch, and I'm trying to get small doses of game time between video editing, playing 30XX right now. The slightly modified levels in each run always throw me off, and there are a couple of bosses that just absolutely wreck me, especially if they're fought later in the r...
