Re: What games are you playing?
I just finished Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. Oh my goodness. What a ride. Like it's the most awesome, stupid, brilliant, thing I've experienced recently. I'm astounded that the game came out in February 2013 and yet touches so much on topics relevant in 2018 haha. It's definitely the best Metal-Ge...

Re: Mega Man Zero - Zero to Hero
You can probably disprove yourself by just collecting more data... how many crystals were had at the beginning of the run in the first place or etc In Megaman Zero 1 if you die with spare lives you get an non-intuitive GAME OVER. If you die without any spare lives you get a slightly different anima...

Re: Mega Man Zero - Zero to Hero
yeah yesterday was pretty much a 'play video games for the full day' kind of day, what with final zero and celeste 3c. I considered adding a final montage of the last run, but I thought leaving it to copy x would make a better surprise when watching. The reason I ask, is because your energy crystal...

Re: Mega Man Zero - Zero to Hero
Of the Megaman Zero games I think Megaman Zero 1 is the weakest. Primarily the difficulty and upgrade system is egh. It's a rough way to launch the series, but overall this is a great GBA title. I think the former case is actually exceptionally rare, as I'm not sure if we ever see one other than X. ...

Re: Mega Man X6 - An Absolute Nightmare
And to get Jumper, in the scenario that you have no armor but Falcon, you have to have Hyper Dash, so you need to have gone into Turtloid's secret area, so you need to have done insanely precise airdashes into the spike corridors, or tanked damage (ideally, it's not necessary) with the Shock Buffer...

Re: Mega Man X6 - An Absolute Nightmare
Nice job beating up those giant molecules, the nightmare twins are the worst. I prefer to use the blade armor rather than the shadow armor against the twins but getting the blade armor up the spike wall is pretty dumb. You can use ice burst and the jumper part to beat the level with blade armor, Or ...

Re: Mega Man X6 - An Absolute Nightmare
As janky and lazy as MMX6 is, part of me still enjoys it a little. It feels pretty decent to play in, just many of the bosses and levels are bad. Also water fleas are not insects but actually crustaceans in the clade Brachiopoda. (which contains fairy shrimp) The species Daphnia magna is used common...

Re: Mega Man X5 - The End of the Mega Man X Series
Overall I don't hate Megaman X5 but man, it's where the Megaman X series really starts to wither. One thing that bugs heh me about this game is that many of the sprites, effects, and animation seem really low effort, especially compared to Megaman X4. The main thing that irks me though is how this g...

Re: Psychonauts - Flesh Carnival Schizophrenia
In regards to "how the meat circus was toned down." From what I can tell. It's mostly that falling to your death now only removes a little bit of health rather than completely costing a life. However, I'd have to compare the two side-by side in order to make a good analysis. But I think th...

Re: Zummorr's Insect Emporium
When can we expect some posts about the winter insects, like the noble snow bee? Not a snow bee per-say. But some Bumble Bee, Pretty sure it's Apidae, that I found on the top of Mount Lassen in California, Which is at an elevation of 10,000 feet. http://i.imgur.com/aagD5np.jpg http://i.imgur.com/3q...

Hey, this is a forum. It's time for an update. I organized my collection and this most, of my good bug pictures, I personnally sifted through the photos and tossed the useless blurry images. Now you can go to google drive and view any of the over 400 pictures! https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/...

Re: Mighty No. 9 [TALKHAUSTROPHE REPOST]
The Wii U version is notorious for being one of the worst platforms for this engine. Unreal 3 was never optimized for the Wii U. Thanks for the info regarding that the Wii U version is the worst. I tried asking on discord about the frame-rate issues on discord and it turned out that no one actually...

Re: Mighty No. 9 [TALKHAUSTROPHE REPOST]
Well I finally finished this game. I rented and played the Wii U version. Is it just this version? This game's frame-rate is horrible! it seems like the game poorly optimized. In the training levels with no backgrounds the game runs reasonably well. But if you use the crash-bomb power the game choke...

Re: What games are you playing?
Fiddled around in Guild Wars 2. Granted I've only played the free-to-play stuff. But It seems really rude that if you are FTP, then you can't use group-finder stuff until you are level 30. Granted you can probably just ask in general/LFG chats. But it just seems like it's treating a FTP player like ...

Well I just beat the Queen Metroid today. Was really baffled as I just shot missiles into it's mouth and it just died. I did my victory walk to the door on the left, the game failed to transition and I fell through the world. http://i.imgur.com/sAeIkyL.png In other news! I don't like the Omega metro...

Oh man delays it's been a while hasn't it. How about a couple videos for a change? Butterfly faces sure are weird. It's also strange to acknowledge something that is grooming it's tongue. to be honest I think this kinda ruins butterfly a bit. haha. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8dg3dOzMU8 Odonata...

Re: Zummorr's Insect Emporium
My, mantises certainly make quite a lot of noise when they lift off. Errm, my apologies...that background hissing is the nearby air conditioning unit for the house. Well insect cyrogenics experiences another loss. but here are some pictures of what mantid wings look like when extended. http://i.img...

Re: Zummorr's Insect Emporium
Anyway, back to the butterfly, why did it get so close to me, and how do you think the toy tasted to it? Well it could've been tired and thought it was a good spot. It might have been attracted to the color. Insects can see some UV light that is outside our vision range, something that some flowers...

Sprite sheet of the bee enemy. http://www.spriters-resource.com/download/23014/ you know alot of people think that those bee enemies are pollinating the plants...while wasps are key pollinators for plants they are also parasites as well. Notably the bees are "stinging the plants." Wasp sti...

Speaking of flies, I found this lil guy floating around me. I think it's some sort of hoverfly. Yeah I'd say thats a Syrphid fly, Flower fly, Hover fly. You must've been really still or sweaty, it's usually pretty rare that those things land on people. joking aside, good pictures! You got a picture...
