Re: All The S@nics - SA² - Chaos Swiss Roll!

raocow has on multiple occasions had episodes number in the halves, and even episode zeros. Like, I wouldn't be surprised if we get imaginary number episodes next.

Re: Half-Life 2 - Episode 1 - Encounter at Farpoint

raocow was surprised at how good of a shot Alyx was, when in the game you're playing as some nerd who was working at science, and is able to use a whole array of weapons for some reason.

Re: Half-Life 2 - Lost in the Sauce

And like, Gordon is not this unstoppable force. The only reason the guy hasn't died multiple times is because of outside involvement. The player understands this, dying many times throughout the game. Gordon is just a human railroaded into victory, not some being above it all.

Re: Half-Life 2 - Dr. Freeman I can smell burnt toast

Obscure deeplore facts: The name "Xen" and the orange Xenium crystals first appeared not in Half-Life, but in "The Third Force", a novel written by Half-Life writer Marc Laidlaw and part of the expanded universe of the Japanese video game "Gadget" by Haruhiko Shono. Laidlaw has also said that the G...

Re: VIP6 - Hiroshima

That might be a good idea, raocow. I think you might be stretching yourself thin playing 4 games, especially with stuff that can be as difficult as this, or as unpredictable as Sonic can be.

Re: Half-Life 2 - Stalingrad

Groudon Feelman experiences his first emotion.
But really, it's sort of funny that the one moment where raocow was taken aback by the narrative was when there was no dialogue to tell the story.

Re: VIP6 - Nara

I'm not really sure what the difference is, I still think Vip 1-5 are very special. Well, the difference is that we never spoke to any of the qualities that made the VIPs enjoyable, just mentioned the very vague "energy", which I don't think we disagree with. This also does not mean we ever said th...

Re: VIP6 - Nara

"vips were just not good" is such a bad take, and i would still agree that this vip is missing something Who even said that? All that was talked about here is not being as impressed with this one as when the other ones were new, basically from changing design philosophies and technologies. Like, it...

Re: VIP6 - Wakayama

Probably because Western romhacking has at least caught up with, if not surpassed, VIPping. Watching VIP videos used to be "omgwtf that's so cool/hilarious how did they think to do that and then pull it off", whereas now it's like "...i kinda wanna go rewatch the LP of JUMP(integrate 1/sqrt(2pi)*e^...

Re: VIP6 - Wakayama

If i've learned something about raocow from watching him over the years, is that he is a bit of a masochist when in comes to SMW. So yes, i'm sure he's a fan.

That being said, i'm not feeling the same energy from this VIP like I did with the other games in the series for some reason.

Re: Stellar Swing Remastered

haha i guess that's why i'm getting rid of it. basically you start with a certain amount of speed and can either gain speed by falling/boosts, or lose speed if you turn too hard (which is the unintuitive part). the energy star meant that you'd hit the end object with a speed > our preset target spe...

Truly, the best way to go about it is to add the option to do tricks while mid-air. Tony Hawk's Stellar Swing.
