Re: An SMWCentral Production: A game about some eggs

My impression is ASMT was just as bad (and not really that bad) as SMWCP with its pswitch/springboard fetching (that desert level with all the spingboards was helluva long, for example). Gameplay/level quality is fairly even, but I probably like this game better just because it's got Mario in it (an...

Re: An SMWCentral Production: A game about some eggs

Honestly, I miss vanilla music sometimes, the custom choices are so hit and miss. Does that Touhou theme need to get used in any hack again ever? Seriously, I did not expect this degree of difficulty from this hack Me too, and I was very pleasantly surprised. smwcentral's reputation for liking thing...

Re: The Official RaocowxAOD Thread! (RAod)

Coming soon, Chapter 2: AOD Loves Clients Well, I wasn't actually to going to write a second chapter, but something made me do it. Slight change of title (oh, and this one's rated R). Chapter 2: RikunFrances Loves Clients For many years after, AOD's mother was to recall, to her friends and to the c...

Re: Artis Sequentis Principia Mathematica

I would like to understand what you're doing and check for rigor, but without motivating the choice of axioms what you're doing is little more than pushing symbols around. This is what I was trying to say in my much more awkward manner. That is a nice design AOD, but the pedant in me has to tell yo...

Man, you really fucked-up. You could have went about things in an artful manner: "Hey, raocow, I heard you used a logitech controller, yeah? Well, thing is, I got a spare one I've no use for. Want me to send it your way?" Once you got his address you could've been on the bus to Quebec. In ...

Re: Artis Sequentis Principia Mathematica

Not you I meant morsel but hi anyway Hey That is what I mean by "writing". There being a narrative implies that there is writing. I'm not sure what you mean. What about the oral tradition? What about narrative painting- the Bayeux tapestry, the Books of Hours, Hogarth? Thus, while paintin...

Someone should totally sticky this thread for posterity. I think this thread might just be "stickied", if you know what I mean. I have been inspired to contribute. Here is my fan-fiction. Chapter 1: raocow Rides the Plane The other people paid little attention to the oddly-dressed man spr...

Re: An SMWCentral Production: A game about some eggs

I had a nice star 117 save file which the world 7 boss deleted when it crashed the game on my second playthrough. Hopefully this lp will be free of such mishaps. Regardless the hack is really good (better than asmt, dare I say it?)

Re: Artis Sequentis Principia Mathematica

This is quite interesting. The Panel Sequence Theorem is particularly ingenious, deducing an ordering of the panels (obvious and intuitive) as a necessary consequence of the ordering of the elements (unobvious and unintuitive), and its corollary,"Given t=m, the Axiom of Completion implies P1 = ...

Re: Hyper V, the most hyper of Fifths

I always thought turtle and tortoise just were synonyms, and the sea creatures were just called sea turtles. I sure got my biology mixed up :P. Oh cool, etymology. Apparently, turtle originally meant sea tortoise, turtle being a corruption by English sailors of the French word tortue. Believe it or...

Re: Hyper V, the most fifth of Hypers

Here's a complete (I think?) srm file, if that's any help.

Also, that fireflower powerup block may seem a bit out if nowhere, but it's old hat from the hyper series (play three and four before you touch one and two, which have more technical issues).

Re: Hyper V, the most fifth of Hypers

So you say the Vip-Series is terribly designed because some parts are more fun with savestates ? (and obviously meant to be used). It's my understanding that, at least amongst the Japanese romhacking community, savestates are not intended to be used, even with very difficult hacks like kaizo (Tomit...

Re: Hyper V, the most fifth of Hypers

Still happy for hints on where to find the exit leading to the secret world, by the way. If you've made the star appear but can't access it, you likely have the original release of the hack (before the special world was completed). Otherwise, The star is in Bowser's valley, the secret exit leading ...

In the exciting finale, King Charles returns from the grave to give a rousing and lengthy discourse on the evolution of post-structuralism since Lacan. Obsequious eloquence aside... what is Lacan? "Doctor, Doctor, I'm really Sade. I Kant go to Lacan!" "I'll prescribe you some dialect...

raocow you said "mish-aps" but it's supposed to be "mis-haps" - you know, like a bad happening and stuff? I also noticed that you still say "errant" rather than "aren't"... So yeah... I was most disappointed the noun "reprise" was prounced re-prize ...

Re: Youtube's Layout

I'm not going to complain about how my free video hosting/streaming site lays out its pages. Its pretty cool how I don't see ratings anymore, and the comments are filtered so the uploader's come first (and you can search comments now as well) and the page seems 'cleaner', less cluttered.
