Re: All The S@nics - 1 - Dusting Doilies Since 1991

Yeah, Sonic 1's pretty fun, but I'm glad they add that spin dash in the sequel. Just opens things up way more. Green Hill > Star Light > Labyrinth > Scrap Brain > Marble > Spring Yard for the full zones. Not doing this for many games, but that's the Sonic 1 definitive zone tier list that isn't very ...

This one and tomorrow's stage were the roughest for me. So far, so good though!

Re: All The S@nics - 1 - Dusting Doilies Since 1991

I don't think it's that big a deal, but even though you only get an alternate ending for clearing the game with all 6 emeralds, it still feels like you're technically missing out on some of the game's content since you never played the 6th Special stage. He played all six. They're in a rotation whe...

Re: All The S@nics - 1 - Dusting Doilies Since 1991

Outside of Green Hill, Star Light is the best stage when it comes to getting that speed and momentum going along with some occasional precision jumping. Always liked this zone the most after that first one because of that fact. Every other zone feels like you should take it very carefully to the poi...

Re: Star Fox (SNES) - You feel there's something calling you, you're wanting to return

Man, Route 3 is brutal to me. Like this game clearly has a legitimate difficulty curve. It's just that I couldn't handle a lot of what this last one throws at you without resorting to save stating, especially when losing a life means going back to the single shots.

Re: All The S@nics - 1 - Dusting Doilies Since 1991

Spring Yard's my least favorite zone in the game. I do not like all the bumpers and box rides you have to do there. The one zone that everyone can't stand that's coming up tonight is one I'd put in the top half of the game.

Re: What games are you playing?

Beat Team Sonic Racing, although I've got a lot of stuff left to do if I want to 100% it. Still, it's pretty fun. It plays more like a sequel to the original if Transformed didn't exist. Fun game with some decent challenge, but it also feels like they had to rush this one out the door with the whole...

Re: All The S@nics - 1 - Dusting Doilies Since 1991

That's pending he gets them. It's not like Sonic 1 is easy in that regard since you have to make it through the whole stage with 50 rings. That's generally a no-hit run or a very early hit!

Re: All The Sanics - 1 - Dusting Doilies Since 1991

Said it on YT, but I'll say it here and try to condense it. Personally, I do like the zone per video idea unless you have trouble with a particular act. There's no reason to do 20 minute videos for this. Nope. Maybe do it like the Mario stuff that way! It's just that there are so many stages in thes...

Re: All The Sanics - 1 - Dusting Doilies Since 1991

man I'm bummed that people see it as 'padding'. Like I get it but it's genuinely not what I'm trying to do :( I think this is genuinely funny but people just don't believe me. I can understand it for Sonic 3 when the stages start getting pretty long. Just a little confusing for the very early days ...

That looked pretty fun. Probably would've enjoyed it like I do Ms. Pac-Man and Donkey Kong had I have played it back in the day.

Re: What games are you playing?

Yeah, Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom gets a pretty good recommendation from me. Fun game with a lot of stuff hidden about thanks to having six playable forms. I'll admit to using a guide to get to 100% quickly, but who cares? I had a good time, and that's all that matters.

Re: Sonic the Threadgehog

Team Sonic Racing has that same deal as Transformed for me where there's a bit too much going on at times and the neon colors for certain tracks don't help, but the game itself is still fun in the couple of cups we did here. The Sandopolis remix was sweet.

Re: Star Fox (SNES) - Leave me alone, let me rock and roll

I remember Route 1 being an absolute cakewalk for the most part. Nice to see that the memories are holding up well. Didn't play this one until a couple years ago though since there were a ton of series that slipped through the cracks in the SNES era for me here.

Beat Aggelos which was pretty good, now working on Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. This one looks and plays even better.

Re: All the Mega Men One-Shots - Tilted

This looks like it's basically the Mega Man equivalent of Kirby's Pinball Land here except that it controls way worse. You can beat the bosses, and taking down all three will unlock the Dr. Wily board. I'm guessing you have to do it just like in Kirby where you must take down the boss in one trip up...
