Re: Mega Man Legends - Digging Up a Classic
Ah, the early 3D console gaming method of running in circles and shooting at your enemy is the best strategy. Was laughing at the comments in the vid after you pretty clearly defined that you liked the game outside of some of the side quest stuff saying that you didn't like the game. Man, comprehens...

Re: Mega Man Legends - Digging Up a Classic
Kind of crazy how the end game just flies in out of nowhere if you just power through. It'll be interesting to hear your thoughts on MML1 when it's over.

Re: Mega Man Legends - Digging Up a Classic
I'm more glad for it being a natural first playthrough. You're not going to know everything going in, and raocow's done a decently good job cleaning up for the most part. I do think it's time to take this one to the Main Gate again since you pretty much saw most of what the game has to offer. No rea...

Re: Mega Man Legends - Digging Up a Classic
You did the good ones. The missing lady was in the area south of Apple Market where the Flutter was originally parked past the long thin passage of rock. Once that passage opens up again, she's over on the immediate right by the wall. The gang thing doesn't matter at this point. It's something they ...

Re: Mega Man Legends - Digging Up a Classic
Since you asked, there are a decent-ish number of side quests left that you can do, and I'm putting them in order of easiest to hardest/most time-consuming/boring. I personally recommend the first three for sure, fourth is mostly reading, and the fifth is if you can handle doing chores for the punks...

Re: Mega Man Legends - Digging Up a Classic
I mean, I'm more concerned about the lack of a save after rushing right in to two of those special fight rooms. You better not game over... or else you'll game over! Mm-hmm. Glad you're at least sort of going through some of the side attractions the game has to offer again. But like you said, that's...

Re: What games are you playing?
Had my fill of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and got just about every goal done outside of stuff that would be a grind or require online play for. No thanks. Back to editing Mega Man III DOS vids now!

Re: What games are you playing?
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 because why not? Shame the power cord disconnected as I turned the thing on apparently and wiped every save game file I had on the PS4 from before that. OOPS. My poor 100% Mighty No. 9 file. BW

Re: What games are you playing?
Quietly getting more stars in the PS3 version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. Gone from 175 to over 200 now in this last kick, and there are 230 overall to earn. I will never like that Billy Hatcher or Burning Rangers race though. Those levels are so tough to see what the turns are.

Good callback to the opening dungeon where he gets the blue refractor only for the trap to spring. Dude was totally expecting more of the same.

Re: Mega Man Legends - Digging Up a Classic
A day behind, but actually beating that giant Reaverbot in the one dungeon exploration on your first try is a good sign. That thing is meant to absolutely wreck you unless you just hightail it out of there. It definitely helps that you loaded up on tons of health early. That won't save you in the la...

Re: What games are you playing?
They all have tells in Punch-Out!!, either when to attack or get the heck out of the way. It's up to you to figure them out! More than halfway through Mega Man III DOS now. Again, DOSBox-X has been a lifesaver in terms of recording these. Would not have wanted to record the whole game in the same da...

Re: What games are you playing?
Yeah, Franz is basically Seth Jr. in that game with his ability to just destroy about anything that hasn't got a Horseslayer. Also chose Eirika's route since I don't really care much for Ephraim overall. Anyway, I finally started recording Mega Man III DOS now. Thank you to the peeps that hooked me ...

Re: Mega Man Legends - Digging Up a Classic
They are very much going for the Action/RPG genre here with this even though it's still the usual bust and move strats that the 2D games would go with. In other words, don't be afraid to search shelves and even holes in walls to see if you can find stuff or just enjoy some flavor text. Kind of catch...

Re: Mega Man Legends - Digging Up a Classic
Remember that you're playing a game before dual analog had really taken off on consoles, so yeah. It's got tank controls. I prefer the L1/R1 camera turn, but both work, so it doesn't matter. You can tell this one has a lot more thought put into the production values than your standard Mega Man game,...

Re: What games are you playing?
I decided to give Kirby's Pinball Land one more shot, and today was the day that I finally got through it. Man, that game is rough if you fall down to the lower board, but I managed to finally avoid doing that a ton and got through the final boss on my last life after screwing it up once.

Re: All the S@nics - Riders: Zero Gravity - ⇧&⇩&⥁
SPORTS! I love sports. Sports are great. In all seriousness, looks like a halfway decent minigame aside from having to chuck that ball off the track to get the high scoring targets in the last one.

Re: What games are you playing?
Well, Bravely Default II was pretty good other than not knowing what moves would cause an opponent to counter you. Kind of a "Oh, you didn't know what the skill check was on this skill check boss?" deal. Guess that's a staple of the series then since I haven't played the 3DS ones yet. Anyw...

Re: All the S@nics - Riders: Zero Gravity - ⇧&⇩&⥁
Did not care for the first of the non-story tracks shown, but that Boulevard one is definitely going for the reference route, and that's all fine by me.
