The only judging criteria that makes any sense to me is an overall Value score for levels which encapsulate them entirely - that is, the final result of all their elements together. Sure you can get 5 points just for having "fitting" music, but what if I use my music in a really great way...

Clash is a visual issue like any other. It looks odd in minor cases and awful in serious cases, just like any other visual issue. It doesn't need an entire topic devoted to it, and by making one I feel like you're just encouraging the stereotype that the SMBX community is obsessed with it. :/

This is a possibility. Though that invokes the "one star per section" limitation and will only work on your first trip through a level.

Would it be possible for me to draft a set of comments on each level and have them added to the HUB? My differences in opinion from Horikawa are starting to drive me bonkers haha. Would be nice if 8flight could as well.

Ghosts of the Naval Fleet made me sad. I was really liking it, and set to give it a nice score, and then he just suddenly stopped giving a shit in the second section. Like, it was a brick wall of "I stopped caring" in terms of quality.
