Re: Testing results/issues
Video 14 Looking in the editor is a bit misleading as it looks like it's just a random warp in the sky. It's not though - getting the first bullet bill to the right of the vine to hit the vine as it comes out of the box will push the vine to the left right into the warp, so you just have to climb u...

Re: The Talkhaus presents... A Super Mario Bros. X Thing!
So like that star leek in World 1 where you have to race the vine is really tricky for World 1 in my opinion. This may just be because I've been having a ton of technical difficulties such as random crashes, freezing, and extreme slowdown. What exactly did you guys change with the engine? I don't e...

Re: raocow Plays: ASMBXT Preludsion to the stupid
First impressions In my opinion World 2 has a couple of quite interesting levels including one that does look very pretty graphically. World 3 for me is where it starts to take off. It starts with one of my levels which you'll hopefully at least laugh at if not actually enjoy (although hopefully yo...

Re: raocow Plays: ASMBXT Preludsion to the stupid
As one of the co-creators of Fricken Meta, I'm going to talk about a few of the points some of you have brought up and were brought up by raocow's video. 1) I can't see the boss or interact with it. Why? We have no idea. Several people reported this bug but we could find no common factor between the...

Re: raocow Plays: ASMBXT Preludsion to the stupid
The phrase "but what are you really mad about?" comes to mind. This level actually got a fair bit of testing. I guess because when the project head says "please test my level" it tends to happen. I asked "how consistent" as in "how well?" Things can get shodd...

Re: raocow Plays: ASMBXT Preludsion to the stupid
Okay, seeing as no one knows the proper solution to this puzzle I'll take the liberty of showing all of you how to solve puzzles "The Darkychao Way" Yeah, I don't think any of the levels got tested for 2-player mode. Doesn't make this instance any less excusable; and I expect raocow's own...

Re: raocow Plays: ASMBXT Preludsion to the stupid
I think all I'm saying is that this'd feel better as a secret exit for a level in world 5-6 at least, instead of conjoined with an otherwise very-simple level in World 1. Though I'd guess you're someone who doesn't like the idea of a "difficulty curve", so this ends up being just an argum...

Re: raocow Plays: ASMBXT Prelude to the what the hell
raocow, maybe you would have preferred the earlier version of Cloud Nine where you could get the secret exit in about 10 seconds as Iris. As far as I know the only person who's gotten the secret leek by legit racing the vine was shaman himself, everyone else found another way to do it which then got...

Re: raocow Plays: ASMBXT Prelude to the what the hell
In regards to the somewhat uneven nature of World 1 that some of you have mentioned, it's the joke level problem. As far as I can see collab projects suffer from two major problems (from the point of view of professionalism, not necessarily fun) in level submissiions: joke levels being submitted and...

Re: Testing results/issues
Frickin' Meta has boot filtering issues. Demo doesn't have the boot when she collects the leek (and she didn't take it initially, but raocow), but she has it in the hub. So Demo ends up with the boot, not raocow? That's odd. In any case it's a normal boot so it's not game-breaking in the sense that...

Castle of Reflection: If you are playing as Iris and you get the midpoint, and then die, you are stuck there. You can't get out of the midpoint room. A Terrible Level: When you complete the level (as Iris) you are stuck in the gimmick world until you go back into the level and die as Demo. I'm pret...

Hey, for some reason when I try to play this through the Lunar Launcher, I get an "Access violation: code:C0000005 address:8000FFFF". What the heck? It works fine when I run it without the launcher... should I just skip the launcher? Basically from what I understand the launcher behaves v...

Actually that was LukaRamu that arranged "Star Get". I just put it through a Super Mario World Soundfont.Kashkabald wrote:I didn't do the jingle, that was Doctor Shemp.
"Player Dies" however - which hopefully raocow won't hear for a while - was all me.

This is the first finished internet project I've contributed to so I was grinning all the way through this video. I will quite possibly injure my face from grin overload when raocow gets to one of my levels.

Re: Where did you get your name/avatar/sig from?
Name & avatar are from the original Spyro the Dragon. I was signing up and had a complete mental block on what would be a good name and I didn't like any of my previous screen names. So I went with Spyro the Dragon since it's the first console game I owned, though not the first I played, I think...
