Got some news for you guys, the whole nintendo thing with redigit is a lie. Redigit was prank called by a guy known only as Spam100.

I have a question for all you A2MT folks, are you guys making/continuing the SMBX/A2MT conversion? I'm really interested and curious in this, and so is what's left of the SMBX community.

SMBX is officially dying. The founder of the main SMBX forum, Knuckles96 has announced that he has quit. Some users announced that they are not going to quit though.

I just think it's such a waste to just 'loose' this engine somehow, so it'd be nice if we could use some of the ressources we have to salvage it in some way. Offer to change up the graphics which would be problematic, remove the music, change the name to something like 'the demo machine' and there ...

I don't really know what to think at this point, but I don't really give a shit either way.

The current version of SMBX is good enough for me. Their really are no good ideas for the next version, which won't happen, other than custom overworld music, which I don't think is really that big of a deal.

While The Invasion 2 and The Princess Cliche were quite good (and apparently The Great Empire too but I haven't played that one, and i hated The Great Castle Adventure), they weren't anything stellar or super-creative with their level design and visual styles.
