Re: ASMBXT Discussion Thread
The rabbit thing was originally a reference to the 2nd Mario Land game for Game Boy, and having the Jackhammer/Pogo Stick/Whatever replace statue mode was more of an excuse to use the Tanooki *barf* suit instead of replacing the Super Leaf, which I'm sure will be Popcorn anyway. Since the carrot pow...

Re: ASMBXT Dev Kit *UPDATE*
Well the reason I was asking if Zaidyer has a dropbox is that if he shares a build folder with me, I can keep the this updated with a weekly download package.

Re: ASMBXT Discussion Thread
We could replace the Tanooki Suit (I hate spelling it that way) with a carrot, giving us Bunny Demo (with Statue mode replaced with a Jackhammer, to make a desunoya reference).

Re: ASMBXT Discussion Thread
I actually want to make a very silly level where you're climbing up while lakitu throws goal spheres, with a Power Leek at the top. Nearly pure platforming.

Re: ASMBXT Discussion Thread
as well as having an 'extra world', we could hide levels here and there in an unmarked way, though then we get into the issue of crediting them. Though I suppose something similare to I Wanna Be the Ghost House can be done. Yeah this can definitely be done, so don't worry. But do you agree on the i...

Re: ASMBXT - Sounds & Music
If anybody wants to use the same music that I'm using, I have some low-size files in my dropbox ready for use.
Capital City of Flowers in the Sky (Touhou 07 Stage 4)
Lullaby of Deserted Hell (Touhou 11 Stage 5)

Re: SMBX Help Thread
So I was able to get The Capital City Of Flowers In The Sky working for the level that will be given the same name... but when I went to assign Lullaby of Deserted Hell to the underground level I'm working on, no matter what I did the program would freeze up. Can someone tell me why one song would ...

Re: ASMBXT Discussion Thread
I got to about the 1/4 mark in the layout for one of my levels, when I realized that SMBX does not natively give me Pansers to work with.
I am now a sad Pokota.

Re: ASMBXT - Sounds & Music
I'll say what the guideline I go by at work is. When in doubt, ask. For example, I asked ahead of time if Touhou music would be kosher, and the answer I got was "game music OK"

Re: ASMBXT Dev Kit
Thank you, kind sir.
THE DEV KIT has been repackaged to include the World File, and it's been uploaded to my Dropbox account! No more mucking around with Mediafire, too!
Although I think I just volunteered to 'host' the dev kit. Ah well, that's fine with me.
Zaidyer, do you have a dropbox?

Re: ASMBXT Dev Kit
As we speak, I'm repackaging the dev kit so that it contains the world file. It should only take me ten minutes to do, and it'll be sitting in the public folder of my Dropbox. I'll more than likely edit the link into this post, unless somebody is kind enough to post before I finish so that I won't b...

But the flower joke with matching music is going to be my level![/gag] Seriously, though, the Capital City of Pansers In The Sky is something that I'll make this coming weekend, along with Exploration of Deserted Heck (though I'll probably do that one first as it's going to be my "Hey, let's th...

Re: ASMBXT - Sounds & Music
I want to use The Capital City of Flower In The Sky from Perfect Cherry Blossom, but I don't want to put a hueg file into the whole mess just for the sake of one level. With that said, I'd also like to use Lullaby of Deserted Hell from Subterranean Animism, but I have the same hesitancy as with the ...

Re: ASMBXT: Because Why Not?
Two questions.
1) Will we be going with STTB1 or STTB2 style exits?
2) Would using music from Perfect Cherry Blossom be kosher for LP purposes?

Re: The legend of Zelda: Stipulation of time
Glitches ._. I don't know any glitches in that game! Even though I played through it many times. Why is that glitch important anyways? (lol I never actually played the game with a different dungeon order) The only way to bypass the bombable rocks on Zora's River is to be able to dive deep enough to...

Re: The legend of Zelda: Stipulation of time
You'd need to do the Gold Scale glitch, but that's easy enough to do. You don't need bombs for the Zora Sapphire outside of the Zora's River ascent.Jolpengammler wrote:is it possible to go to jabu jabu before I go to Dodongo's cavern without cheating or glitching??

Re: Mega Man: Lime in the Daylight 2 - Sequelising it up, yo
I never follow the weakness order in Megaman 3, but that's because I started with the GB iteration which had a different weakness cycle that I've gotten embedded in my head.
