Yeah. Shrouds are basically a "Use rave mode or run away" enemy. You shouldn't be so stubborn about using it.
Also, for fun times go to the big spike pit in metropolis's last area and use grand slam to get down it easy. Not that there's any point but it's very entertaining anyway.

Re: Distilled Tapestry
Black Rock Fortress is a thing, so be sure to stock up on items first. Also it's incredible how much easier the game is on the easier difficulties. Hard mode is hard! Like, twice as hard than what raocow's playing on at least by my reckoning. I shudder to think what Distorted is like. And I ...

Re: Distilled Tapestry
Err no raocow do not listen to what one of the previous commenters said. Sure you should buy stuff, but only weapon, armor, spirit and ring craft extensions. Do NOT buy Skittles or Turbo Smoothies right now. You need the money for upgrades! No way he should totally buy healing items, they are super...

Re: Distilled Tapestry
raocow, go shopping already. Buy some more skittles and all the other items and better gear. I mean, you may as well since your internetz are full and this next part will of course be the hardest one in metropolis. You can just leave by that purple portal, buy stuff and come back really easy since y...

Re: Distilled Tapestry
raocow, you have all you need to get all the items in Diveman and Spiky Room Man's domains.
I got the treaasure up that large vertical jump in dive man's stage through brick-in-the-wall shenanigans.
Also, use Kudeku on bosses aaaaa.

Re: Distilled Tapestry
There's only three obstacles in the game you can't dash through. One of which is solid walls. The other two are very explicitly pointed out by the game when you encounter them. Instant death spikes are not one of these three objects, and can be dashed through.

Re: Distilled Tapestry
raocow, basically this entire metropolis thing has items you expressly cannot get yet, so don't worry too much about getting everything your first go around.
Also, one of these four bosses is the best boss in the game to use Kudeku on. I'll leave it to you to find out which.

Re: Distilled Tapestry
Really? I never found a use for Kudeku... What else is it good for, aside from one-shotting stage enemies? Not much, actually. It's prohibitively expensive in most cases. Using it on the cannon fodder will quickly run you out of magical juice, and even the dragon lily gets hit harder by the Gator W...

Not spending money on healing items, and not needing many healing items in the first place, is going a long way.

Re: Distilled Tapestry
raocow, you can scan the cursor.
Also, the enemies here are very picky about elements. They each have one weakness, but otherwise neutral attacks and skills work fine if I recall, so arguably the best element to use in this level is NO element.

Re: ytsevarT detrotsiD
It's the part I was most looking forward to for the entire LP.
Well, that and the final stage. (A game? Having a final stage? No way!)

Re: ytsevarT detrotsiD
So, there's something that's been bugging me for a while about this game. You have a friendship bracelet, which as far as I understand is supposed to have one bead for a friend, with a different friend's bead in each slot. So who is he being friends with here, exactly? Is he buddy-buddy with the con...

Re: ytsevarT detrotsiD
Since you said you didn't know, The denominations for rupees are green is one, blue is five, yellow is ten, and red is, uhh, more. I've also seen purple rupees, but no idea how much those are worth since by the time I got them, I'd already maxed out all my items and hit the money limit. Also, the ea...

Re: ytsevarT detrotsiD
In case you didn't notice rao, Poison has now been introduced in the game via the Dragonroot boss fight. It will halve your attack strength for 10 seconds, but other than that are no other effects. For those of you who know about what's coming up in a few episodes: Once he is in Distortion 2, does ...

Re: ytsevarT detrotsiD
Whoops. Guess I was wrong about the prize there. Sorry! However, I'd still say the 450 money and the OH SNAP!!! are better prizes than the other optional chain jump stunts. Also raocow, don't forget you have a bead that reduces trap damage by 20%, which is pretty much all the damage in those platfor...

Re: ytsevarT detrotsiD
However... ...late in the game you will get a technique that allows you to bridge that gap with far less effort, so unless you really want another good bead *that* much now, skip it for the time being. Do you mean: Cyclone? There's kinda a huge lag after I cast it before I can dash again. I lose WA...

Re: ytsevarT detrotsiD
Yeah. Really the only thing that makes this one worth doing is how nice the reward is in it, and as nice as it is even that's barely worth the finickyness of the jumps needed to get to it. If I were you I'd actually adjust this particular reward to something more attainable given the result of today...

Re: ytsevarT detrotsiD
Yes raocow, that star door in the jungle really does expect you to chain airdashes to it. However, it's better to try that one once you have more points in the three spirit regeneration talents. There's no power later that will make getting that one any easier, either. Some of the other optional pri...

Re: ytsevarT detrotsiD
raocow, there's actually like three talents in your skill trees that increase your spirit regeneration. At this point I actually reccomend playing around with a skill respec and taking a good look at all the different things you can get. At 25 internetz, it will be well worth it.

I'm not sure. I found it by randomly jumping around, as I figured SOMETHING was hidden in the smog.
