It's not fanmade, but it is a fangame sorta since it's based around the Touhou universe. It's also Doujin. Being the guy who originally bought the game for peeps to play, I can say that yes, to "legally" obtain it you have to pay for it. But nobody really cares unless you want to help out...

So, I don't know if this is answered somewhere in this thread, but since I don't really want to read through 45 pages to find out, does anyone know how I can buy Nitroid legally? FYI I do not live in Japan.
