Really the big thing that made episode 1 work so well was the insane amount of QA it went through. When we started we basically had ASMBXT version 2 with all it's crappy levels and everything. Like seriously... Some of the levels were horrific. There's nothing stopping episode 2 from being even more...

I'm kind of sad how much my level got overshadowed by raocow finding it easy due to being better than most players and then failing really badly at simple pattern recognition on the next level. Only one of the YouTube comments even mentions my level.

Yup. :D That was me. I also did having different hurtboxes to hitboxes... Which given what I could do with the engine at the time was actually a much bigger deal than you'd think with me having to implement an entirely separate collision system and teleport a firebar into the player to hurt them.
