Re: Demo fan art, for no reason!
Woah that was cool. I'm not quite sure who the antagonist (or I guess technically protagonist since he's pushing the advancment of the story) is. I'm guessing it's Kood , but you gave them a different name so I'm a little confused. Though yes, I like how it comes across as the start of how the world...

Re: The Thread for Programming
Most of the standard library functions in Python are written in C and Python has a CTypes module that lets you work with C style variables for dealing with C (and presumably C++) libraries. It sounds like you want to embed Python in C++ instead of making a library. I'm not sure how that would work, ...

Re: The Thread for Programming
Well if you want sandboxed Python; pypy has a version of it. You just call the pypy sandbox as a separate process (maybe thread? not sure) and I think you can completely virtualise it. There seems to be a linux version of it on the pypy website, but it says it's portable in the docs so I'm confused ...

import solution solution.answer() I'm really good with Python. Though admittedly I'm bad at C++, I'm still in the phase of "this is C with strings, vectors and classes"... Which I know is terrible. I think the last code I wrote in C++ even used pointers directly. I've never used unique po...

Wallows around in Python. In college my best friend is the guy that uses C++ all the time and I'm the guy that uses Python all the time. We are constantly talking about it and debating for our sides.WhattayaBrian wrote:Waits for modules

Re: The Thread for Programming
Aaaaaaahhh! I am so agonisingly frustrated! There was an online coding test for a college internship at Demonware (which has their offices in walking distance from my house, pays well and basically asks for exactly my skillset in their job requirements)... The code test had 3 questions. I found ques...

Now you need to make an easter egg where there's a 1 in 500 chance of a post being slightly misaligned to the left or right. Just to annoy the crap out of people. And best of all you can make it not consistently reproducible and tell people that you can't fix it unless they can reliably reproduce th...

Re: Platinum: Maximum modularity engine!
Wow. The features you've listed there are pretty much the same as the ones I'm going for in my engine. 0_o The only big difference it that mine is in Python. Regardless though I imagine our engines will be different in a lot of more subtle ways. I'm also currently trying to start my engine from scra...

Re: Episode 2 Discussion Thread
But NRZ encoded hiphop.
NRZ is a simple type of digital encoding. It makes so much sense guyz.
Honestly though this isn't a real discussion.
It makes no sense to suggest names for episode 3 right now.
Honestly though this isn't a real discussion.

Re: Episode 2 Bosses?
I'm totally going to have to make a Calleoca battle again. I'm probably going to need quite a few sprites for her different transformations. But for now could somebody please make me sprites of the following: 1) Calleoca walking, running and jumping. 2) A frame of Calleoca wall jumping. 3) Calleoca ...

How do people find this game short? xD It took raocow 55 episodes to beat it and if I remember correctly it has 97 levels.

Episode 1 may have flew by for you but it is by no means a short game. It got 55 episodes out of raocow and has something like 97 levels.

Re: A2XT: It's Over
Also, the best boss in the entire game has to be Septentrion's first Science boss battle. You mean the boss fight that was the worst in the game for 90% of the beta testing and was probably changed more than any other level. xP Seriously... Septentrions' boss fights were not fun in the slightest to...

Re: Episode 2 Discussion Thread
Also I should get this off my chest, but I think we should only allow one or two levels per person, unless there's room for more at what it feels like the end of submission. It would be really nice to get as many people participating in this as possible as it is a collaboration. Just an opinion tho...

Re: Episode 2 Discussion Thread
It happened to one of my college friends on world 4 and one of them is stuck with annoyingly few lives on World 1 (there probably should have been a life farm there too in hindsight since it is supposed to introduce you to the game). Though yes... Lives as a system kind of suck for this kind of game...

Re: Episode 2 Discussion Thread
Yeah. It would be nice if the vetting process was much stricter this time so that we don't have to break our backs as much. Or at least if we do it will be more of taking the ok levels and making them great as opposed to trying to nerf the crap levels to the point where they're easier to forget about.

Hey SAJewers. Could you possibly put GenoWhirled into the level credits. (S)he wasn't put in for The Subterranean Base and commented about on YouTube but doesn't want to cause commotion and is possibly shy about asking you.

Re: video game i done (Stellar Swing) (Android/PC multiplatf
I found occasionally when I clicked near the edge of the screen to attach to a block it didn't pick it up. Though I'm not sure if that's something you can fix. Also the levels where you move fast are the best.
