Re: Base ROM Inclusions
I thought the consensus after DaxterSpeed mentioned it a while ago was that we were using it. Did it fail to make it over? I know Tails was working on it for a while, and DS said he would work on it if Tails couldn't get it to work. That never happened? And even if the base rom is still in 1.7, isn'...

Re: Testing & Development~
That's some pretty neat platforming there Mr. DeePay. The level looks like a lot of fun to play. Unfortunately because the level looks like so much fun, I don't have much input to give. I'd want to try to discourage you from making it any easier (at least from watching the video). It will be impossi...

OC, you have introduced me to a world I never knew.
But still, I'll believe that is his work until shown otherwise. Even among all these new photos, that one is something special.

Re: Let's Vote on Who's Creepier
Why is he creepy? I don't get it. raocow wanted to buy a cat. So he's a furry ! ... probably ! Also, you folks should never play Elona i guess. But too be fair, the pets in this game looked horrible. Nothing like my little girl in Elona ! And thank you Mr. raocow Sir. I actually had a wonderful Chr...

Still say Kleiner Kokiri. He's hilariously creepy. Won't be a true poll 'til he's up there. In the meantime I guess I'll vote for the Jr. Detective among us.

Re: Green flames - Let's Play Pokemon FireRed+Emerald!
One of my favorite pokemon lps/fanfics Obviously it has to be a fanfic though, it's touhou. I may have mentioned this last night, but you both seem to be following the same formula. And even though I've seen a few of them, I like the fanfic angle, so it becomes the "trying to please everyone&q...

Re: An SMWCentral Production: A game about some eggs
The boss looks to have been made a bit easier since the initial release. I think SNN said he changed it around a bit as of version 1.4. The fireballs seemed quite a bit slower, but that could easily just be my eyes playing tricks on me, trying to fool myself, since I took much, much longer to beat t...

http://i.imgur.com/jg8ls.gif Something like this? It gets up to 32x32 instead of 16x32, but the one you posted was 24x32 so I'm hoping this should still work. If not it shouldn't be hard to resize. The bottom bit may need to be changed around so it fits the pipe well, and basically I don't know wha...

Re: An SMWCentral Production: A game about some eggs
I think the philosophy was, "give a whole bunch of people a chance to contribute, even if it's not the top choice." At least that was the gist of what I got from the release thread. And that's a pretty good philosophy, befitting the the spirit of a collab hack. It's that kinda stuff that m...

Re: Pink Lets Plays (Current: Megamari)
Awesome job. Had a lot of fun watching this one. Haven't beaten the fortress yet, but you did get me there, and past Yukari at least once. I have faith I'll beat it eventually. And it's all thanks to these videos, and Shake Weight, but mostly these videos. So yeah, looking forward to the next one.

Re: GFX & Palette Requests
Well, I gave it a super quick shot. I know what you mean about the shading. I tried to do something really detailed to match the rest of the stuff you drew for your level. It wasn't going great, so to make something work I took the exact opposite route and went extremely simplistic. It might clash a...

Re: Lookie! I Brok'd It! - ROM help thread
You're trying to strip the reserve box? Do you want that to happen upon entering the level? Because I think that's what the leaders are planning to happen anyway. If it's for a sublevel or something, that could be solved by some pretty simple level asm. If you really need it to be a block, I have to...

Re: raocow Doesn't Give Up - The Mario Gives Up thread
In agreement with kleiner Kokiri I think dual Mario is a bad idea if only because it may prompt people to incessantly compare both of them, regardless of the fact that I'd enjoy any mario romhack, even in a double dose, way more then your newgrounds series. I don't think this actually happens in pr...

Re: Testing & Development~
Hey, GvirusG. Well I gotta say, I'm not as big a fan of this one as I was of Below the Ice There Is. I imagine the finished product will look very different, but the theme and idea behind the level seems less neat (as in, I don't know what it is yet). You know what you're dong though, so I trust you...

Re: raocow Doesn't Give Up - The Mario Gives Up thread
That was one of the best looking levels I've ever seen, and oh man was it smart. The background was extremely clever, as were the sand tubes. Very, very well done. Wind was used perfectly too. I may have only recently started romhacking, but I can say with certainty, this right here is the kind of l...

Re: Patches, Tools, and Hex Edits
Oh yeah, I forgot. The patch also allows you to put midpoints in any sublevel, so people don't need to make midpoint rooms or force one into the starting level. It may be worth inserting just for that alone. Not like that's ever been a huge deal, but I mean, as long as it doesn't conflict with other...

Re: Patches, Tools, and Hex Edits
Really, I don't know if I agree with that. I definitely agree most levels should not, but if they are designed right, it would be a tremendous help. It be great for late game levels like King Charles Castle that basically have clear dividable sections. That's really what I think it needs clear secti...

Re: Patches, Tools, and Hex Edits
I double checked the info site and was surprised to see we aren't using Kaijyuu's multiple midpoints patch. Is there a reason for this? I feel like I would have a use for it, and I'm fairly certain it would be a huge benefit for pretty much every long, challenging level.

Re: Touhou 3: destroying hearts, stars and moons
Oh! You mean technically. Gotcha. Disregard everything I said, it's irrelevant. Yeah, that can be tricky. It works great with Zsnes and quite of few other emulators because they have a built in netplay option. There are external netplay clients that can work with games like touhou as well, but if yo...

Re: Touhou 3: destroying hearts, stars and moons
I don't think it's very hard to pull off. :? It's just a bunch of people together having fun. Recently it feels like LPs are a bit more of a production compared to say, the something awful stuff of a few years ago, which felt more like a bunch of friends getting together playing video games, except ...

Re: Touhou 3: destroying hearts, stars and moons
I'm a little sad to hear that you'll be speeding through this one. I haven't really played 9, so this is fun to watch. It'd be awesome if you could get a co-commentator to play with though. I know there's a netplay patch for 9, does one also exist for 3? Seems unlikely... but I miss the Skype co-com...

Re: raocow Doesn't Give Up - The Mario Gives Up thread
O3? Ozone? I don't know. It does do a very good job of interfering with shorter wavelengths (namely the <320nm stuff that will give us sun burns and skin cancer). But I don't know if it plays a significant role scattering light in the visible spectrum. If I had to guess, I'd say no, mainly because O...
