Re: What did you last eat?

Fried chicken. No breading (generally I suck applying breading on fried food for some reason). Marinated in fish sauce. Ate it alongside some fresh hot rice. Put the serving of rice on a bowl, cracked a raw egg on top and poured some soy sauce and mixed. The soy sauce is there for the flavor, while ...

Re: book's

Re-reading for the who-knows-how-many-times the Discworld novels. Already at Men at Arms. Are you really reading all of them in order? The only ones I haven't read are the ones I don't really have any interest in reading. Which is sad. But then it's not like there aren't a shitload of Discworld boo...

Re: All Pro-Wrestling thread

How are they still around? I just don't get it at this point. They're some kind of strange undead creature that keeps getting up every time it gets knocked down. The tenacity would be admirable if the company wasn't so pathetic. It's rather crazy that some die hard fans still consider them still th...

Re: All Pro-Wrestling thread

So apparently, TNA is looking for people to be in attendance of their shows - and they're paying money for it.

Amazing. You'd think TNA has hit their lowest, and they end up surprising us by sinking into more hilarious depths.

Re: All Pro-Wrestling thread

Been a crazy year for wrestling so far.

Jericho and Omega for Wrestle Kingdom. Del Rio apparently coked up as he does a promo on TNA. So much bananas a monkey will be hesitant to deal with it all.

And that's just the most recent. Lots have been happening lately, both good and bad.

Re: I can't think of anything funny to put here

Something amusing as I drove home today. A rather amusing/honest slogan.

It was a place that sells roast chicken. Their slogan, translated to English, states that people say their chicken isn't very good, but it'll do/better than nothing/something along those lines.

Re: What music is stuck in your head right now?

6FXeupOp04 Dwarf Fortress' theme. There's a couple of nice arranges of it, but the original version is the best. Just so soothing yet at the same time haunting. The perfect piece for a slow day on the fort, or when a giant two-legged spider made of marble barges in and melts the skin of the hapless...

Re: What games are you playing?

Back to playing Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead once more. Perhaps it's age (though I'm not *that* old), but recently I noticed that I'm satisfied playing just a small handful of games, compared to when I was young and I'd play so many different games. Still, an open survival sandbox set on a zombie apoc...

Re: Cartoon Discussion Thread

Anime was a lot more common around here as a kid. Kinda still is, since quite a bit of the non-cable stuff here has anime more than western cartoons. Regarding western cartoons, one thing I miss are the old Looney Tunes stuff. I think it's been like forever since they aired here. Still remember the ...

Still playing FTL constantly. One of the best roguelikes (or roguelike-like) I've ever played. Looking forward to Into the Breach, the second game the creators of FTL are making.

Re: What did you last eat?

Rice, bacon, and two sunny side ups on top of the rice. Really should avoid so much eggs and bacon, but dang this is one filling meal. Sunny side up has got to have the yolk on the slightly runny side, so that when it breaks it spreads down the rice. Later thinking of using the electric grill to coo...

Re: What games are you playing?

Playing ToME/Tales of Maj'Eyal. ToME is a better name since Maj'Eyal sounds a bit too alien and not so catchy. It's a pretty fun roguelike, and can be more forgiving compared to others. The multiple classes are nice, and they can be so different from one another that gameplay can become different de...

Re: Everything Music *Official Music Thread*

Here's one tune that would be a good soundtrack for the end of the world. Hell, it concerns Ragnarok, so that's a given, I suppose.

Also, Amon Amarth is one heck of a cool name for a band.

Good to hear that she's back home. I've had situations where you don't hear from someone, and it ended...sadly. You hope that things work out, but when it doesn't... it's heartbreaking. It's good that things ended up better. I don't know what the situation surrounding things are, but I wish ya the b...

Re: All Pro-Wrestling thread

Apparently Anthem tried offering an insane deal with Matt and Jeff Hardy where they get 50 freaking percent of their earnings, more or less. Oh, it's even worse than that. Rumor is that the new GFW contracts gives 100% of merch profits to GFW as well as a large take of any outside bookings. They're...

Re: All Pro-Wrestling thread

This sounds like newz: There was a story 7/17 when GFW had meetings in Nashville and WWE had Raw in the city and some GFW people and WWE people ended up at the same bar later that night. Karen Jarrett came up to Strowman. The belief is that Strowman had no idea who she was, even though it’s not like...

Siopao/meat buns taste nice, but good lord the smell of it while it's being steamed is horrid. Was waiting in a corridor at a hospital, and there's a stand in the area that sells snacks, and whenever the steamer is opened I get a whiff of it. Hot, wet bread smells so unappetizing.
