The slide under the boss looked like a nice satisfying dance. Reminds me a little of how you interact with the fun bosses in Gunvolt when you're playing as Copen.

So it's like a Go version of Tetris, interesting. I wonder what the algorithm is that checks if there's a complete loop. Can't think of an elegant one of the top of my head. Maybe if you ignored all but one color at a time and checked if any clumps are only touching that color and/or a wall... or so...

At some point, I'd rather have the game do the Earthbound thing where enemies just die if you're strong enough. Although I'm not sure it'd work here. If the instakill wouldn't work, they could always make it so enemies run away when you're past a certain level. Or was it after you cleared the area ...

He noted how the composer for the series (Nobuo Uematsu) tends to create a specific leitmotif and utilizing it in as many tracks as possible. I feel like that demonstrates his limitations as a composer, since his songs can get very samey at times. Compare this to Yoko Shimomura's work in this game....

Over-ing the POW is probably not a bad choice either for the meta reasons of keeping encounters short enough to keep in the video and not slow the pacing as much as possible. Though I understand that the flip-side of this is not being able to see the enemy do their moves sometimes.

It just struck me, but is "Miles Prowler" a pun on moving across large tracts of land?
This entire story is hilarious to me, why do sonic games always have this sort of shadow of ill omens surrounding them haha.
