I would consider Pepsiman to be my 2nd favorite video game starring a soda mascot, after Cool Spot for the SNES.
Also, I love how 1 o’ the falling signs in the factory is the Pepsiman equivalent to a kaizo block, just suddenly going, “Nope, you go in a pit”.

Re: request grab-bag
implying wario will ever be considered complete I mean, there are other WarioWare games… ( tho good luck emulating Twisted! well — which is too bad, since it’s 1 o’ the best & I’d love to see raocow be baffled @ some o’ the souvenirs, like the “SUV Grater” or the bobble head where you have to s...

Re: BANJO-TOOIE - Observing the Houses of Some Poor Souls
While I certainly don’t mind them permanently saving the notes you collect, I don’t like how they lumped them together into large clumps that are sparsely placed. 1, it makes them barely feel any different from any o’ the other rare collectibles, like the Jinjos; but 2, the useful thing ’bout mass-c...

I can confirm that a’least in the US this game was advertised as having o’er 200 games on the back o’ the box. Also, its manual came with stickers it encouraged you to place thruout the manual & pages with activities like a word search:

Re: WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ - THREAD!
I like the idea o’ a grid episode appearing e’ery once in a while in the middle of other LPs @ random without any warning, pattern, rhyme, or reason, just like the Wario intro microgames in the nature games. ’Twould fit WarioWare perfectly.

Re: WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ - THREAD!
’Nother fun fact ’bout the paper plane microgame: the long version in this game uses the level theme from Wario Land 4 ’s “The Curious Factory”. I believe the balancing boxes microgame in Jimmy T. had the music from “Palm Tree Paradise”, too. Hot take: Mona’s microgames are the best in this game, e’...

Re: WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ - THREAD!
While I’ll admit that many o’ the later WarioWare games are better, I still have a special affinity for this 1 since ’twas the 1st, and the 1st time playing a WarioWare game, being completely unfamiliar with the concept, was such a trip. In fact, when I 1st played this game ’twas the Japanese versio...

Re: BANJO-KAZOOIE - Making an Engine Sputter to a Halt
Hot take: “Rusty Bucket Bay” is the best level in the game. 1 thing Rare is great @ is making excellent hard levels that are just as famous as infamous ( DK64 is arguably the exception if we count infamously hard minigames ), which is always a great idea for making players less pissed @ you. Much li...

Re: BANJO-KAZOOIE - Making a Church Graveyard Thank You
That board game minigame felt like a DK64 minigame, specially with the bad camera that could’ve easily been avoided if they just had it all in a top-down view.

Re: Spyro (2) - Plants' Revenge
I was eagerly waiting to see raocow get trolled by this dumb escort minigame. Not only does this idiot chemist go in the most round’bout path possible, but his destination is just to the left o’ where he starts. The game’s deliberately taking the piss out o’ the player. Can’t wait for this minigame ...

Re: Spyro (2) - Ripto's ceiling crab
I ne’er stop laughing @ Moneybags being in 4 different places @ the same time, 2 o’ which are right next to each other. Aquaria Towers sucks. It should not be possible to get lost so much in a stage that's literally a loop (including a map showing that it's a loop), alas. I don't even know why this ...

Re: donkey kong country returns - He's Finally Back
After what I thought to be the truly great stuff in this game for world 7 comes the worst boss in the game. DKCR giveth, then taketh ’way.
The upcoming temple level, howe’er, is 1 o’ the few autoscrollers I like, since it actually forces you to keep going fast… if I remember correctly…

See, now in this raceway Hunter is actively trying to prevent you from getting the orb by deliberately muddling the order o’ the Superman 64 rings. Hunter truly is a villain in this game.

Re: Spyro (2) - Ripto's bizarre title stylization
I generally prefer the Reignited remakes, but 1 change I didn’t like was that they made Hunter no longer talk like he had a lobotomy & just made him talk like a stoner, which is less funny. I also love how ridiculous it is that Hunter is holding out on an orb you need to collect to stop Ripto &a...

Re: Spyro (2) - Ripto's bizarre title stylization
I don’t like this cat. raocow can tell the future. Also, ¿were they too cheap to buy Elora & Hunter’s voice actors pop filters when recording their lines for the opening cutscene or is that just the sound compression? I’m mixed on Spyro 1 vs. 2 . On 1 hand, Spyro 1 felt like ’twas the same thin...

When Awesome Possum says “¡I’m so cool!” it reminds me too much o’ when they announced Chris Pratt as Mario. I remember renting Bubsy when I was little. I think I remember an amusement park level being the furthest I'd gotten. Re: donkey kong country returns - He's Finally Back
autoscrollers aren't always bad as long as you're doing a lot of action, which is why most mario ones tend to be like, Athletic style levels. i just don't think solely cart and flappy bird levels can sustain a donkey kong world for me, but y'know people seem to enjoy it so woop See, I feel the oppo...
