Re: Full Bore - SOOIE!
I'm finally going to join one of these threads when they begin instead of missing out and feeling like it would be impossible to join later. I wanted to make a point and say that the game seems super adorable -- bores make for great protagonists. Judging by the website of the game and the activity o...

Re: YouTube Stuff (mostly the management screwing up AMIRITE)
This thread seems like the right sort of wall to throw trivial complaints at, so I will throw my own trivial complaint at it. Well my computer is old and tired and really doesn't like HTML5 for some reason. And YouTube seems to have removed the ability to use the flash player at will, so it looks l...

Re: Dust: An Elysian Tail - The Adventures of Sasuke and his Anime Figure Collection
Man, I love this game to pieces, real "defender" of it, and I love the way raocow is playing it, it's so energetic and crazy and fun it's genuinely delightful. I don't even care he's talking over the melodrama, so long as he does actually keep an eye on what is occurring at least a bit. I...

Re: Yet another video thread
PBsLCPYGmUQ Speed painting videos are often pretty neat to watch. Whoa. I forgot speed painting videos existed. I used to watch a few of these back when YouTube channel backgrounds were a thing. Some people could make some fantastic pieces of art back then. If you go through deviantART, you can sti...

Re: the Official NFL thread
Man, it has been a while since I have logged onto here. Quite the start to the season Oakland has had. Still kind of confused about the Atlanta game, and this recent game against Tennessee had me feeling weird because it was not a clean win for us. Oh well. At least we don't have RGIII. What a trage...

Re: the Official NFL thread
It's my favorite time of year football season! The first batch of preseason games are on tonight, including my Falcons. Hopefully they have a better season this year then last year. I could care less since I'm a Raiders fan. If anything, I would greatly appreciate it if the Falcons could shut the P...

Re: Pokémon
I'm currently busy laughing that Alolan Meowth is getting flak from people when yet another Tumblrbait dog for people to eat up was just shown and obviously people love it. I haven't actually heard much ridicule towards Alolan Meowth? Maybe I'm just in very odd circles for Pokemon. The recent batch...

Re: Sonic the Threadgehog
i don't know about fullly separate campaigns, but the reveal trailer claims Tails and Knuckles will be playable. Well I guess I just didn't pay close enough attention to it then, thank you for pointing this out. I think it would be cool if they were given their own campaigns - again, like how it wa...

fuck you alola exeggcutor is perfect the way they are I guess to each their own. If I can find something nice to say is that it makes Exeggcutor stand out more. I kind of forgot it existed in Gen 1, but man, NOW I definitely know that Exeggcutor is a thing. A big thing. coconut trees are a kind of ...

Super fighting robot. Jacket Man.
(See, if they could pay $35,000 for the original theme song; I should at least get $17,500 for that.)

Re: Stupid epiphanies/revelations
it took me until a couple years ago for me to realize that charizard is just char lizard. That's kind of a silly one if that is what it's supposed to be, but it does make sense. Charmander is a play on Salamander, Charmeleon is a play on Chameleon - both of which I just thought of when I read this....

Re: Sonic the Threadgehog
not to mention, stealth/Simon Thomley/Headcannon was a major contributor to Sonic Megamix, which made fantastic use of movement options for different characters in its level design. so i have faith that playing as tails or knuckles will be a bit more interesting than it was in 2 or even 3. I had no...

Re: Sonic the Threadgehog
I'm glad that they're finally getting another developer besides Dimps to make a 2D Sonic game now. I haven't been this excited for a new 2D Sonic in forever. That is the one thing that gives me some hope personally. Christian Whitehead did a fantastic job with the Sonic CD port - I should know, I'v...

Re: Pokémon
Mega Tall Exeggutor Like all of the other variants of the Pokemon they've been showing off are cool and all. Specifically Vuplix and Ninetales, those are some wonderful Fire/Fairy type things or whatever they're supposed to be. They're remarkably adorable! But Exeggutor needs to stop it. Why didn't...

Re: Stupid epiphanies/revelations
Speaking of Pokemon name realizations, it only clicked the other day that "Marowak" is referring to bone marrow. What ... that took me a second to think about. Some of these names sure are clever. Either that or you and I are just really not the best at picking up on these sort of things....

Re: Plagiarism.
An interesting idea for a thread topic, but I'll bite. I can think of two off the top of my head that I've heard people talk about. Both of them are literary cases of plagiarism, actually! The first of which was when Alex Haley's famous book, Roots: The Saga of an American Family , was accused of co...

For the longest time, I always thought that Geodude was just a horrible name. But then I figured out at one point that it was based on the word "geode" and I felt horribly stupid. It's okay, because I remembered that realization while Googling pictures of Geodude earlier today and finding ...

Re: Sonic the Threadgehog
I enjoy the fact that in this modern world the solution to your new games being crap is making old games I think this embodies a lot about how I feel about how the new Sonic game looks - specifically Sonic Mania. I'm happy that it's being made and all so that some of the people who wanted a true So...

Re: What games are you playing?
I've been (finally) playing Mighty Switch Force for the 3DS and gosh, talk about an experience. The puzzles themselves aren't that hard, but some of the par times in that game are absolutely ridiculous to get accustomed to. The game is never so hard that I want to quit it though. (Except for trying ...
