The average level quality is better in VLDC11 than other VLDCs imo, so I'm happy that raocow is already considering these entries as great level territory.

yeah the enemies outside of beanbean castle are hard on your first visit especially since you're learning how to defend with the hammer, and if you don't beeline straight for the castle you'll be taking a beating. I remember having the same issues as raocow.

my dev commentary for cold trees is that jump 1/2 needed a forest level with a secret exit but i could only have 1 level slot and no sublevels

BTW my levels in this hack are more of janky vanilla showcases than anything particularly extraordinary, but I like them.

ye it's my level. If I remember correctly I was inspired by Kerkec's entry in magl3 which is a fun hectic vertical platformer. Thus I made a level only out of vertical sections. Meanwhile the theming was inspired by vldc9's Hotel level by Frost . And finally the room raocow missed is really just a 1...

IIRC the top 10 is pretty good.

As for why Frozen Fortress is near the bottom, I remember it being quite frustrating for the judges with how cramped and precise it ended up being for them.

right i made an entry
i mostly utilized the wavy boos and sleepy goombas cause the balloon and broken stretchy boo were difficult to use creatively. could've used the little cloud enemy that went back and forth but eh
