Re: ROBOT WANTS PORTAL, I GUESS
Don't count this as seconding if you [any and all readers] don't want to... but sure, I updated the OP just in case.

Re: ROBOT WANTS IT ALL - Robot Wants Big Fish Legend
Eh, hard to say. While I also did not like the beginning of this, I hated the beginning of Puppy remix so much more, and raocow just breezed through that. I'm all out of expectations. Well, that isn't entirely true. There's at least one other part here that I imagine will cause some genuine ire, and...

ROBOT WANTS PORTAL, I GUESS
Portal is a game I'm too busy to type a description for right now, but that's fine, you all know what the game is about. 1 - RFLP analysis on subject available at a later date Robot Wants It All is a collection/compilation of the original "Robot Wants" games that also includes a mini-game...

Re: BANJO-TOOIE - Checking Out Some Fiery Platforms
So, let's talk about entering Grunty Industries "proper" via train. I'm very ambivalent about it. On the one hand, very neat. Conceptually, what better way is there to help you understand the interconnected nature of the game and how these last few worlds will really make you use it than l...

Re: BANJO-TOOIE - Attempting to Explode Another Eye
Hatch may be a key, but there are many more egg-shaped locks than levers to pull in this game. I think there's a few novel things done with it, but that's a discussion for later. Jinjo in multiplayer is not one of those things... though maybe that's because I never had anyone around interested in pl...

Re: BANJO-TOOIE - Slaying in First Person
A tip for anyone who struggles with this FPS jiggy - the timer only starts counting down when you destroy the first bundle, so you can actually explore around a bit and get a feel for the area (or just find what you think is an ideal starting point) and destroy your first bundle there, beginning the...

Re: BANJO-TOOIE - Getting Hit in First Person
When I played this as a kid, I would normally hold off on Targitzan because I found the boss fight kind of harsh. Then again, as raocow noted, the other fps portions aren't exactly easy either. Kid me did have to cheat to beat the one in Grunty Industries, after all. In any case, navigating them has...

BANJO-TOOIE - Breaking a Witch-Shaped Target
Banjo-Tooie, the sequel to one of my top games of all time, is also one of my top games of all time. 1 - overall controls, page 2 - Amaze-O'-Gaze Glasses, jiggy, black jinjo 3 - mayahem temple entrance, egg aim, hexagon, breegull blaster, y jinjo, 100 ♫s, p jinjo, 2 ⌘s 4 - orange jinjo, two jiggies ...

Re: BANJO-KAZOOIE - Making a Cold, Cold Winter's Night
Fun fact: You actually *can* break into Gnawty's house in Spring, at least in version 1.00. The rock is functionally the same as the rock in summer, so while you can't break it physically, you can hit it with some blind-aimed reverse eggs from the cliff above, allowing you to swim inside and emerge...

Don't mind me, I'm just posting to preserve this thread title before I update again. (I did actually have something to say and then I realized I needed to update the thread and completely forgot. It was probably about how kid me spent far too long trying to break into Gnawty's house in Spring that i...

Re: BANJO-KAZOOIE - Making a Peak With Some Holiday Decorations
There's gross bugs in your tree! Disgusting! [...] I don't like to think that, whenever you get a Christmas tree, there might be just bugs in it. Like, it might happen. Let's just say there's a reason my family stopped getting live trees when I was young. And that reason is spiders. So this specifi...

Re: BANJO-KAZOOIE - Making a Lair out of the Side of a Mountain
And this is discounting the discussions about how at one point getting all of the mumbo tokens was possibly required as well , since we know that isn't how the final product turned out. huh what I've heard a few sources note that, but I'm not too sure how accurate it is because I've never found a r...

Re: BANJO-KAZOOIE - Making a Lair out of the Side of a Mountain
Also this might be a hot take but I don't see the point in using Brentilda these days instead of a guide book or FAQ. Her Fun Fax being RNG and the quiz at the end also being RNG wrt the questions it asks seems kinda jank? Like you could note down what she says but what if you miss an encounter, yo...

Re: BANJO-KAZOOIE - Making a Mountain out of Some Mumbo Jumbo
Mumbo is best shaman in game... and my heart.
Man, watching raocow go through Mumbo's Mountain is just making me think of how different this game is from Tooie. Kind of insane to me.
One of these days I'll have more to say, maybe probably.

BANJO-KAZOOIE - Making a Sequel Tease
Banjo-Kazooie, number one game of many, many people... myself included, some days. 1 - it's like when you rub a damp cloth deep inside a glass 2 - sampled from a live monkey 3 - abstract sounds of softness 4 - vintage '90s gas 5 - clickety-click like a typewriter 6 - a door creaking played back extr...

Re: Super Mario 63 - A Highly Contotient Flash Game
Runouw made a game called "Super Mario Sunshine 64" that could be called a beta of this. From what I recall, it was mostly just an attempt to make some levels from Super Mario 64 in 2d, with Fludd added, whereas this game tries to do a lot more (and succeeds at a lot of that, as I recall)....

Re: Spoilers & Backseat Gaming Problem Discussion
Try an empathy exercise and replace my name with yours. Feels ostracizing, right? And you should try one in regards to raocow's feelings when you literally tell him to shut up in the VB Warioland thread (for something wholly inconsequential), or continually and derisively chide his choice of level ...

Re: Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga - The Legend of Randorland 3
I find something common: that person has never posted once in the ATMM thread. There was plenty of discussing and sharing thoughts relevant to the games, and yet during the course of almost two years, people were generally fine with it. There was seldom voicing of concerns about people jumping too ...

Re: Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga - The Legend of Randorland 3
I know I'm the wrong person be asking, but deep question time: What happened to the Let's in Let's Play? The fact that you get to watch them and experience it with them. I could sit here and explicate further, but I don't really want to. The "let's" never went anywhere. You just want it t...

I'll probably comment more when I've actually watched everything.
EDIT: Actually, I don't have much to say that hasn't been said. Good Game, raocow.

Re: DELTARUNE - New Game from Toby Fox - Chapter 1
In case anyone hasn't seen it, this answers a lot of questions: http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sqn3p9 The tl;dr of that can pretty much be summed up thusly. Deltarune is a basically demo, but it is also chapter one of the story (which is essentially an AU of Undertale at most). All further chapte...

Re: HOLLOW KNIGHT - Hide and Go Shriek
Since you read about it, I'll make a note about that door in the abyss here. Still spoiling it in case you (or others) don't want to see, but... There's a MUCH easier way to do it. You don't need 15 "armor," but rather 15 masks period. And the armor from the lifeblood cocoons is one way, b...

Re: HOLLOW KNIGHT - Hide and Go Shriek
Keep in mind, raocow, that Melody might have protected you but it does NOT protect the flower (as demonstrated in the first instance of failure today). When people say they make a build for this quest, part of it means taking off charms that are useless, like that, Thorns, or Grubsong. The Baldur Sh...
