I think "Back in My Day They Crawled in Zebes" is my favorite level so far. It was such at neat blend of Metroid and Zelda 2.
The boss was a little disappointing, but still better than using rinkas and mother brain.

I was always disappointed that Chapter 6 had no boss at all, just a maze of random rooms.

The best way to avoid the flame pillars the boss summons is to jump towards the middle of them repeatedly (Well it's always worked well for me at least).
