Re: "PC is broked plz fix"- Tech help thread
My computer's running a bit warmer than I'd like lately. I'm going to try to use spray some canned air on the side vent, but I'm really hoping it isn't a hardware issue. This thing's not even three years old yet, but HP's hardware decisions leave a lot to be desired. Anyway, my question is if any o...

Re: The Thread for Programming
Today I posted my scripts for running graphical applications, on Linux, as users other than root on github . Something that there surprisingly doesn't seem to be a utility for. I use them for running my web browser under a restricted user, and I give games a few dedicated accounts (One for offline g...

Re: AVT: A Vanilla Thing!
I don't want this to be a full scale project. I kindda agree with the other peopel Ntfwc. If someone really wants ro join, let them. If no one wants to join, that's ok. It could just be a 2 man project. I wasn't saying people had to join. We'll see how it goes. If it does end up just being us, and ...

Re: AVT: A Vanilla Thing!
You don't need to make it a community project every time you share something you're developing. It would sound like you invite people to finish the work for you. Project showcase implies just showing your work in progress, not necessarily starting a collaboration. I know. But it is always about cre...

Re: AVT: A Vanilla Thing!
Ok, so seeing as everyone is disapproving of this thing.....I might as well said that NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO JOIN. I know that no one wanted to anyways but I'll just say it now. If you really care about this project (which I know no one does) try pming me or contacting me on #AVT. So try not to hate ...

Pony shaped lights? That's different.

Re: The Thread for Programming
I just finished a decompression cache compatible with Linux systems:
https://github.com/ntfwc/decompression_cache
I designed it so I could increase the efficiency of decompressing games in archives on-the-fly. But it is general and could be applied to other things. Someone might find it useful.

Terrifying.
I wonder what horrors B3 is trying to convey.

Re: The Thread for Programming
That was odd. For some reason, today, TwitchTV was sending avatar URLs without the scheme. So rather than "http://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/jtv_user_pictures/xarth/404_user_150x150.png" you get "//static-cdn.jtvnw.net/jtv_user_pictures/xarth/404_user_150x150.png" Broke avatar fetching...

Re: The Official FiM + FiM Ask Thread
Note: As of now, I have seen Season 1, 2, most of 3, and part of an episode of 4 (on TV). 3. Have a finale villain be defeated by something that is not magical mcguffin/love/friendship related. ( WHOA BWARCH WHATCHU TALKIN’ ‘BOUT, THAT SOUNDS SOOOOOO WEIRD. ) I heavily want to see a really clever wa...

One thing though - was I supposed to have to create the cache directory and the following.txt file manually? Because it didn't say to in the Readme. (I downloaded the source distribution btw). Re: What are the advantages of Chrome over Firefox?
Chromium also has a rather nice feature. If you have a specific web-page that you always keep open or one that is otherwise very purposed (like a game or something) you can create a sort of application style shortcut for it in Chromium. It opens the page with no interface, just the content, so it f...

Re: What are the advantages of Chrome over Firefox?
I use both Firefox and Chromium. For a long time, I just used Firefox, but recently I set Chromium as the default browser, but still using Firefox for general browsing. This is because I see a notable difference in their raw performance. For example, if I scroll on a page in the gecko-powered Firefo...

Did anyone else notice the background lights changing with the gravity in "Gravity Matrix"? That was a really nice touch.
