Re: Mega Man 2.5D - Rocking the Third Dimension... Kind of!

First time I played this I didn't even know what a Time Man was, so I'm glad he appears because his music is beast. I know people are probably more disappointed than impressed with this game but I really appreciate the small touches that lean into the core concept: Most of my experiences with autosc...

Re: Mega Man 2.5D - Rocking the Third Dimension... Kind of!

Hooray its Megaman 2.5d! I loved this fangame and thought it was great! It is definitely not a perfect game and gets carried away with dumb jumps. But I played this one coming off another fangame that was truly instant death heavy and it was a breath of fresh air by comparison that likely biases me ...

Re: Yoshi's Archipelago - Yoshi's Tropical Island

real men network, of course. Yeah this is the one I mentioned before - Serenity Jungle. The developer seiromem wanted to make a W9 stage but was frustrated with some real designer's block. I think he felt stuck because he was trying to make it 'harder' and he just couldn't outdo himsef, and I was li...

Re: Yoshi's Archipelago - Metro Kingdom

In Deathtrap Industries, the first draft I had set *all* the ninjis to be the purple jumping kind including the ones that come out of the pipes. It was wicked awesome. Hali had asked me to change them to the other type to make things easier and also to swap out many of the graphics for a SMB2 counte...

Re: Yoshi's Archipelago - Yoshi's Island

Well. This is a huge surprise and the last thing I expected to see ever. Hello I'm Isrieri I was a judge/lead developer for Super RMN World 1. This series has a weird history. All these RMN games were made as site-wide community events with one foot in contest and the other in the collab zone, neith...

Re: New Super Marisa Land - pfffff

Are door mazes good? I ask this honestly because I feel like the answer is yes but I don't know what makes a good door maze. I always get impatient with puzzles though so I'm not a good judge.

This question applies to mazes in general. They don't have to be related to going in and out of doors.

Re: BUG REPORTING

I can't reproduce this on the most recent build, and that error doesn't make sense, since line 13 of that file is just a blank line. Huh. I haven't touched any of the base game scripts or folders but it does appear to be different in my build? I took a look at the script and found this: local funct...

The reserve mystery box (both ids 737 & 739), throws an error if you try to hit it when a p switch effect is on.

Re: A2XT2 DEVKIT

I mean, there are I believe still levels that need to be made (though mainly things like towns afaik), and I'm sure the team could use help fixing up some older levels whose authors aren't around anymore. Just looking at Temporis alone I don't think I'm anywhere close to qualified to make any towns...

Re: A2XT2 DEVKIT

I just got word of this and I had a nostalgia shock. I completely forgot all about this. I love the new graphics and assets for the devkit. The Demo crew in particular have lovely new sprites that make them pop off the screen more, and my favorite thing about these ASMT-themed things is the amazing ...

Whoa wait a sec. How old is the VIP series? I thought it was more recent than that. The furthest entry in the line is 9 years ago?

I really love that title screen. I've also forgotten everything about this.

Re: Star Fox (SNES) - Many journeys end here

I'm one of the few that really likes Star Fox Zero. Star Fox Zero was awesome! I get being miffed about forced gyro controls, but otherwise all I think people wanted was classic StarFox gameplay in a fresh package, and they delivered on that with gusto. This LP is my first exposure to the original ...

Re: All The S@nics - Eraser - welp

The Sega Genesis soundchip, although perfectly capable of producing some seriously banger music as the Sonic games themselves will come to prove, has typically put out via lesser games melodies that I can only reckon to be toasters farting. Today's video, the toasters must've got a nasty stomach bug...

Re: Mega Man 11 - Gearing Up for the Finale

Block Man's stage gave me a ton of trouble because of the one platforming bit, and Block Man's big form is super awkward to dodge. He's the only one I never managed to buster-only. If you've got a quick trigger finger with the bomb weapon, I think you can actually beat him before he turns big. Next ...

Re: Mega Man 11 - Gearing Up for the Finale

Torch Man is the best boss because fighting him doesn't feel like you're exploiting a pattern - it feels like a brawl.
Also he's awesome.

Pretty impressive you got through the stage so quickly.

Re: Mega Man 11 - Gearing Up for the Finale

What I adore must about this game and it's new gear system, is that the game absolutely wants you to use it. But it also wants you to not use it. Like you should, but its just as much fun to go through normally. Whether you have more or less fun depends on what you derive the most fun from. Acid Man...
