Re: Iconoclasts - I can't believe it. Humans are so flaky. I knew I should have asked the tengu about this instead.

...the 2011 demo makes the most sense to me. Think about it... Elro, in his anger at his father's death...gets records about a failed rocket launch? Why would he want that? Teegan's reaction implies to me that the ChemiCo Contra didn't really want to look into it, didn't see any info on non-ivory po...

Re: Iconoclasts - They say it's the ultimate, final energy.

It isn't a joke. Sebby posted on discord what he sent raocow and it specifically included that warning in bold text :P I don't know why anyone doubts raocow's boss fighting abilities in a post rabi-ribi world. Probably same reason people still yell at the Yogscast not playing games PERFECTLY- becau...

Re: Iconoclasts - Okay. If you can get your hands on my target, I'll share some of it with you.

Did you ever heard the tragedy of King Fitzroy the Eternal? It's not a story the Concern would tell you. It really is tragic, and I think indicative of basically everything of this planet- messing with forces they barely understand. The Isi at least see the Ivory only really as fuel, nothing mystica...

Re: Iconoclasts - She's heeeeereー It's her, it's her!

Well, Elro was right. The rocket didn't help, and all it accomplished was the deaths of 3 people, the destruction of the moon base, and the star worm coming even sooner. Actually, I'd argue it DID help- fighting the Starworm was never considered until after the events at Midway, and Royal bursting ...

Re: Iconoclasts - It's not like I'm fighting because I want to be popular.

This scene is half of WHY Elro's so hated as a person, but not a character. (This was clearly the intent behind his character, and it was really well-written!) At this point, all he cares about is forcing Robin to do as he wants, for HIS sake. Robin clearly wants to at least TRY to save the world- E...

Re: Iconoclasts - It's not like I'm fighting because I want to be popular.

Yeah, I don't get it. Elro has flaws and he's made huge mistakes, but that's why I love the character. I see these posts like "and here's what Elro did wrong and why he's a bad person" and I'm like, yeah, I know. That's what I like about him. *shrugs* Most video game characters tend to be kinda per...

Re: Iconoclasts - If that's the best your religion can do, you should probably just give up.

Yes, Elro has someone who can take his place in the mission, but that's not the point. All he cares about right now is protecting Robin. His father (recently?) died, his wife and daughter were killed, and he lost an eye and an arm. The only thing he has left in his life is his sister. He doesn't wa...

Have a new Demo walk cycle to fit her now being the playable character! And I'll also be changing the project name to DemoQuest for the time being.

Re: raoQuest (tentative title) OR: a GMS2 thing

Hmm, I think there's more stuff to work off of if you pick Demo, since there's already been so many powerups and whatnot, and while Demo is a raocow character, she might have more reach outside the raocow audience. But aside from that, there's no particular reason why controlling rao wouldn't work....

DemoQuest (tentative title) OR: a GMS2 thing

hi all for a while now I've been working on a project starring our favorite lovable guy, raocow!! Started out in Zelda Classic, but I've moved it over to GMS2 for better control with my ideas. It's still heavily WIP, but I wanted to go ahead and show some screenshots I have of it and ask an importan...

Re: Super Mario 63 - FINAL FLASH (game)

i don't like how ultra-glitchy all the collisions are. you spin, and sometimes you get hit, sometimes the enemy gets hit. camera likes to wobble a lot.

but the game looks tons of fun anyway! except for a few spammy parts, of course, but that's par for the course.

Re: Super Mario 63 - Three Times the Flash Game You'll Ever Be

I made a discovery about the Rocket Nozzle! You see that tiny red bar to the left of your water? That shows how much longer you can use a nozzle for. It empties when you Rocket and drains slowly when you Hover- when it empties, you have to let it refill back to full to use the nozzle again. Which is...

Re: Super Mario 63 - A Full Hand of Flash Game

wow this game sure is glitchy, huh. glitchy physics, glitchy camera that likes to shake a lot, glitchy moving platforms that eat your jumps for breakfast (and still demand more food)... but the game's still clearly quality fun despite all that! very nice~ (judging the gameplay, not the story- the st...

Re: Henry Layton - Ladies and gentlemen, kindly remove your brains

Aren't they related? I figured that Cole was Prof. Hatsworth's nephew or something like that. Nah. As far as the story reveals, Cole's just Hatsworth's apprentice. It's like the relationship between Professor Layton and Luke Triton. Poor Cole. Been forced to do Weasleby's bidding on threat of being...

Re: Henry Hatsworth - Ladies and gentlemen, kindly remove your wallets

yeah but like I didn't know the level was short I probably would have enjoyed the level more if I didn't keep getting nickled and dimed to death in the earlier parts constantly, priming me to prepare for more and more and more and more of that, forever. That's the one saving grace of that secret le...

Re: Henry Hatsworth - Ladies and gentlemen, kindly remove your shoes

For raocow regarding something he said in today's video (don't read if you don't want to know the answer!): Yes, some secret levels do indeed have secret pieces of the Gentleman's Outfit. They don't actually give you new abilities, they just buff some stats. Think of them like ammo capacity upgrades...

Re: Henry Hatsworth - Ladies and gentlemen, kindly remove your shoes

I'm honestly shocked raocow's still playing this game. I beat it, I sorta enjoyed it... But it REALLY starts bashing your brains in from this point on, and doesn't want to let up. This...really isn't the kind of game for raocow, and I really would not be upset if he decided to stop playing it right ...

oh dear lord WHY

raocow you are a madcow. You have no idea what you have gotten yourself into.

The game has an insane difficulty spike starting with 3-4, halfway through the game, and it only gets harder and harder from there.

also i actually like this game in spite of the combat monotony

Re: Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga - SM64: Last Impact

In the remake and the JPN original, Fawful uses Cackletta's theme from the Hooniversity. It fits way better than Popple's theme. Actually, the JP version was AFTER the US release! Same with Partners in Time. That's why both are different from the US version. (All versions of PiT are the same as the...
