Re: All The S@nics - Pocket Adventure - Advance 0

What an uppercut. Truly the real hero of Pocket Adventure there.

Re: All The S@nics - Pocket Adventure - Advance 0

I really like a lot of the early Dimps games. Pretty sure this would've been one I'd have enjoyed.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It's a fun diversion that's been appreciated.

Re: What games are you playing?

Beat Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright last night. Good gameplay, poor story was pretty much how this one went all the way through. I really liked the maps, and I can't stress that enough. They made some fun areas to fight in like a riverside opera house, a mountain range, a volcano (keep in mind Three ...

Re: Crash Bandicoot Trilogy - U R Not Red E

When I said the other one that was coming to mind the other day, it was Tomb Wader. That one relies on strict timing to get the Platinum, and you have to even begin by hitting the clock just as the enemy by the start is going on the left side to get that water timed properly.

It would've ran at an unsteady 10-25 FPS and force Eggman to declare bankruptcy thanks to the high price of its software.

Re: What games are you playing?

That's not fair to Woolly World's soundtrack. That one was bouncing, but yeah, Crafted World is kind of the Yoshi's Island DS to Woolly World's SNES game if you get my drift. Hey, the gameplay in FE Fates: Birthright is still really good, and I enjoy the Japanese take on class changes for variety's ...

Also turned down the volume for this one, so thanks for the warning. I don't remember what levels gave me issues anymore, but I guarantee this was one of the harder regular levels to do along with one other that's coming to mind when going for the Relics.

Re: What games are you playing?

Guess I'm not Fire Emblem'd out yet because I started up Birthright on the 3DS this week. There's arguably more going on in these maps than there were with Three Houses, but that doesn't always mean they're good. Also, there is a plot that is there. Yep.

Re: Crash Bandicoot Trilogy - U R Not Red E

Yeah, the darkness gimmick that this one has in the PS1 version is pretty much gone in the remake, and it just becomes a driving at night level. I hated the plane levels more, but this one's the hardest level in the game thanks to the worst style of gimmick you can put in a platformer, never mind fo...

Only recommendation is that you should try and get more comfortable with that glide jump. It's really a time saver.

Re: What games are you playing?

Speeding through DBZ Kakarot. Doing the side missions is what makes it longer, but at the same time, they're all worth it for the experience points since they're nearly ten to twenty times what you earn through non-story fights. I kind of want to get the platinum for it this weekend before moving on...

Re: What games are you playing?

I was playing DBZ Kakarot for a bit. Very repetitive game, but it at least has team battles going on and some fast fighting and flying around. It's one of those deals where if you're a fan of the show, the game will probably click for you more. I would've loved this fluff stuff in 2000, but not so m...

Re: All The S@nics & Knockles - Adventure - Crystals Have Power

(Not at all) interesting parallel to the Archie Sonic comics at the time in how everyone else is more important to him in the plot even when he's supposed to be the main character. Well, at least he didn't turn green in the game. Now let's never speak of that era of comics again. Honestly don't mind...

Re: All The S@nics & Knockles - Adventure - Crystals Have Power

I honestly forgot what the heck happened after that Chaos 2 boss originally. Knew Red Mountain was a level in Knux's run but couldn't place its point in the run. Shame he doesn't go in the volcano for those great guitar riffs.

Re: Crash Bandicoot Trilogy - U R Not Red E

Not much to say about today other than it happened. I'll give the level credit for having decent draw distance to show that there was that split path ahead of time. It was just missed or passed over the first time around.

Re: Crash Bandicoot Trilogy - U R Not Red E

Ah, there it is. The plane level. That's my least favorite thing in this game. Wonder if Naughty Dog felt like they wanted to move on while making this game because there are just too many times where Warped becomes "Why is this in a platforming game?" game. It's so frustrating since the platforming...

Re: Crash Bandicoot Trilogy - U R Not Red E

My take on the game is that it's usually fun when you can platform, and it's usually not when it tries to be something else. Don't think Crash needs swimming or bike levels to be a good game.

To be fair, I turned off showing anyone's signatures ages ago. I'll still put whatever wins in my own, but I never have it show up on my end. Don't know if mine even shows for you all at this point or if I also made that stay blank.

Finally closed up The Mosts section. It's now in the archive. I'll keep the announcement deal up for another week in case people want easy access to look at the results, userbars, and all that.

Re: A Thousand Miles - Adventure (singular) - His Hero

Since I used the vid for the "play the game" joke, I'll just say that was one good kip up by Tails there to get back on his feet in that last scene.

Re: What games are you playing?

I definitely picked the right storyline in Three Houses by going with the Golden Deer class. Story's gone off the rails in a "Is this actually good? Ah, who cares, I'm having fun!" kind of way. Already spoiled myself on the other endings since there's no way I'm replaying this long game anytime soon...
