raocow, did you ever remap the A/B buttons? The game leans heavily on having the upper button always be the upper character, designed to push you in that direction. If your controller is the reverse of that, basically everything this game does will be "backwards". The game's actively trying to 'help...

Man, I can't bring myself to watch that Commander Keen trailer.

CK4 was my iconic childhood game. I still replay it occasionally for a hit of nostalgia.

A phone Commander Keen game in 2019 does not inspire optimism in my heart. It inspires dread.

It looks like Mode 2 is there to teach/practice the timing for Mode 3, since Mode 1 has different timing. One of those "games are designed around the assumption that you haven't learned anything about them yet" things.

Yeah I still don't know how (in the outer-space levels) you're recognizing any object that isn't huge or right up in your face. Or, like, how you're aiming. But I'm regardless impressed with the game, especially the fact that it was on the SNES, and really enjoying this game's vibe.

Looks like a cape was mandatory in some parts, so it's not 100% a normal level if you take the water out, but still impressive!

Timers can be fine, but a timer in a level with a midpoint often seems nonsensical. If you really do intend for the timer to be a thing, I guess you could fix it by having a shorter timer if you start from the midpoint?
