This level is super scary and very rude the first time around, but on replay it turns into one the best in the game, imo. As raocow already noticed, once you know what you're doing it can go blindingly fast, and the various setups it presents are super cool to figure out and then just blast through....

One of the emerald hiding spots in this level is inside those giant floating rubble chunks, I got that the other day.

So the "around the six pillars" one probably was one of those. You have to just lazily glide into them to shatter them, it's pretty awkward.
