More likely that due to time panic and frustration, raocow would die on a post Heavy Thwomp boss screen due to rushing and totally change his read on the level :o

I did some napkin maths, and insofar as my guesswork goes, the current B-side list will see us to the end of 2019 - past it depending on a few factors of completionism in La-Mulana, Superstar...

I meant rollercoaster levels within Mario Hacks ;) but eh, even DKC2's are longer and harder and generally more punishing than this.

You know, that makes me realise that Kaze hasn't used any level-entry gimmicks. 3 of 15 courses used them in the original - Tiny-Huge has its two entrances, Wet-Dry has its adjustable water level based on entry height, and Tick Tock infamously has its double, half, stopped and chaos settings.

The lake seems to be using a totally different palette and lighting to everything around it, that's probably why it "looks weird". It's extremely bright in an area which otherwise appears shaded, and draws the eye away from the focus created by the path and the sunlit sea.
