Re: MaGL 3 results: a magl of ice and fire
Proposal to make all future SMW contests judged exclusively by how high the judges get on the goal tape Today is the story of a man's journey on the nature reserve where he accidentally feeds the wildlife across multiple realities, setting into motion a chain of events that ends multiple facets of t...

Re: Super Mario Star Road - raocow plays a 3D game (World 9 Time)
Kind of disappointed that the wing cap level is so pleasant but isn't a real stage. It was exactly the kind of SM64 level that I like the most

Re: MaGL 3 results: genuine effort city (tm)
Basically what I wanted to do with Well That Happened was a vertical layer 2 level. I think I succeeded. Fun fact #1: Well That Happened is actually as tall vertically as SMW will allow for that specific level header. Fun fact #2: The reason I made it a descent - and subsequently, the reason for th...

Re: MaGL 3 results: genuine effort city (tm)
Oh yeah, and the story behind Jokes! was that I wanted to have the entire level be completely vanilla except for one single Kirby enemy. This was way too subtle, so I tried to make one screen of the level be a kirby screen, complete with enemies, background objects, and tiles. I got way too perfecti...

Re: MaGL 3 results: genuine effort city (tm)
So yeah, after going through a bunch of ideas that were either too complex for the time span or just not fun, I decided to just open up 105 and make a completely forgettable and lightly-challenging romp to give myself a break from destroying myself on super complex meta levels. So this is what we go...

Re: MaGL 3 results: SMW is somehow still a thing in 2016
Depending on how dense the lower placements are, I may show up earlier than expected. That's a good thing though since it would mean the good stuff starts quickly!

Re: Make A Good Level Contest (SMW) 3 - Discussion
I couldn't have an "I hope I win" thing since I was hoping for an extremely middling placement and that would be dishonest and lying is bad Put me down for 14 of them When is the side vote to guess the highest placement of an "I hope I win" level? I'm slowly building hype to see ...

Re: Make A Good Level Contest (SMW) 3 - Discussion
Played my level for the first time since I've submitted it. Yes its still the exact perfect level of mediocrity, though from some comments of other levels I've heard, I may place higher than expected.

Re: Make A Good Level Contest (SMW) 3 - Discussion
Well, at least I know that vaguery isn't about my level. Predicting a 30~40 for my level, an incredibly middling affair. Tried to place it properly to be a nice little palate cleanser. I would play the other levels to try and guess my actual place, but I like seeing them all done in order

Re: [III DAYS LEFT] Make A Good Level Contest (SMW) 3 - Discussion
I finally have an idea! Well, two. If the first ends up too complex to implement in the time left, I have my really dumb fallback idea that I've been sitting on since day 1.

You fool, raocow! By receiving the batteries, you have turned your life into an adventure game full of awkward inventory puzzles. The batteries will be needed to power an electric mouse to distract the cat guardian of hell in the third act, so don't use them too early
