With that said, VS. Urban Champion (arcade version of Urban Champion that is somewhat better than NES version) probably would have worked pretty well, but Excitebike is a fine choice too.

Considering you want to use keyboard, you may want to disconnect all controllers before starting the game, and then may as well re-do the tutorial (shouldn't take too long with correct keys shown).

Something I find interesting about THE FLOOR IS LAVA is that I don't think there is a difference between Normal and Advanced difficulties for this particular level. Advanced difficulty says that "Levels don't have checkpoints", but this one doesn't have them anyway.
