Re: Donkey Kong Country 2 -- This Guy?

I've never seen DKC2's mood replicated by another game, it's honestly bizarre. It's so somber, the music and graphics imbue it with a strange reverence that's bigger than the gameplay would ever suggest.

Re: Donkey Kong Country 2 -- Saitama

As a kid, the lack of easy saving and movement between worlds made the game very stressful for me; rather than inhabiting the map freely I was forced to manage the resource of coins to save or backtrack. It's one of the reasons why I preferred DKC3, which was a much more comfortable game to exist in...

When I was a kid I thought the hook-throwing guys were throwing socks. I also thought that squawks was throwing peanut butter cereal and that's still what it looks like

Re: Donkey Kong Country 2 -- Subterraneans of Darkness

Diddy rolling into enemies also feels safer than Dixie twirling into them but I don't know if there's any actual difference behind that feeling.

Re: Henry Hatsworth - Ladies and gentlemen, kindly remove your pipes

Can we just let rao play through the game like he is? This is already a series I have to watch at 2X speed, we don't need an entire world and a half extra added in to it, IMO. Not only is this exceedingly your own problem, of course raocow is going to wonder what's up when he beats the game and it ...

Re: Donkey Kong Country 2 -- Crab and Job Hunting

I never noticed until this LP that the underwater ship levels have a startlingly 3D element to the background.

Re: All The S@nics - SegaSonic the Hedgehog - Watch out! You're gonna crash! Ahh!

"Fun" Sonic Facts!

In the Archie continuity, the setting of SegaSonic the Hedgehog isn't portrayed as an obstacle course, rather, it's a slave labor camp.

other than the contents of this exact video

like it's not impossible for raocow to have been bluffing when he brushed it off so it could still happen but that's still a pretty huge reason

Re: Spoilers & Backseat Gaming Problem Discussion

It gets really annoying when every single episode of an lp begins with doing something you were told to do though. in mlss especially people kept telling raocow to do things he would've done if they waited like one video anyway

Re: All The S@nics - CD - ...The Problem's Chronic!

Charitably, you could see it as the game in its final exploration stage going the extra mile by requiring the use of time travel to get out of that part of the level. This does not make it enjoyable...

Re: Need help to block/remove a recommended, non-generated Youtube Playlist

This is the standard intended operation of youtube. Everyone is subject to this. As you know, it has nothing to do with your history and never will. Google could do something about it by throwing out their shitty algorithms altogether, but that's how they get money. There is nothing you can do but n...

Re: All The S@nics - CD - ...The Problem's Chronic!

This zone has a lot of annoying elements, particularly the enemies like that spinning pole that you can't destroy. It's kind of antithetical to sonic gameplay

Re: Henry Hatsworth - Ladies and gentlemen, kindly remove your hats

Or raocow can add black bars above and below the screens to square up the video size, but he can do what he wants todo. Hmm. YouTube best practices says don't attempt to fill the sides. The app or video player handles that in software. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6375112 Given that it...
