it's funny because when i added it to my tv queue the thumb was completely clean 2 might be my favorite Advance game, i just love how fast-paced it feels. The level design... I guess we'll see. And I don't need to add any comments about the special stages Also, two neat things: that goal tile thing ...

The TAS of Advance 1, meanwhile, is snapped in half no matter who the character is. Highly recommend. It's... not a long run.

Also if we're doing all these chao races then a full playthrough of the heroes missions is locked in baby

What a wonderful game

This game was super neat and it looks good too. Advance-series spritework is top-notch, especially when you're looking at it on the small GBA screen. Only issue I have is the sprite rotation, since it results in hot garbage like this https://i.imgur.com/nJpgpQe.png https://i.imgur.com/CmEtugy.png

It's not my favorite "final level" theme in the trilogy (that's SA3), but it's solid enough that I immediately remembered it and was like "aw yeah this one!".

Also I'm a day late on this but Egg Rocket's theme has huge Sigma 1 vibes, doesn't it

I like the segment at 10:45 where you're climbing up a shaft on those slow wheels and at the very top there's a spike trap in the perfect place to knock you all the way back down and then a few steps to the right offscreen there's a spring there to launch you backwards into the trap after you're pas...

I remember using that little theme you heard at the end of the video as the theme of my MaGLX2 bonus level

i am admittedly a few videos behind but i really want to express my appreciation for sonic adventure 2's camera and its tendency to make you stare at a low-res jpeg while your character falls into an abyss somewhere behind it

at least theres a theme in place as opposed to just being "these ones are harder to find!". kinda feels like an actual unique mission when you think about it that way!

Fun fact: normally you can randomly get rings just by digging, but they removed the chance of that for the 100-ring mission. Gee, wonder why

You can cheese the truck with the spindash, but if you don't do it just right it rubberbands like a champ

Also, no one likes midair lightdashing ever and anyone who says they do is a cop

never, Never understood why you gotta hold the button for so long before it lets you spindash. if you wanna somersault you'd want it to activate as soon after your initial press as possible, it doesn't make sense to have such a long "grace period" for the short press

This level is even easier than you made it, since you can skip a lot of it with aggressive hovering.

The upper section of Security Hall looks so barren where there's literally nothing in it like on this chao mission

so we're gonna see all the missions for the route levels, huh
