Re: super cat planet! (1.0a)
I've been holding out for Super Cat Planet Turbo, personally, but it's great that they're finally bringing over some of the newer revisions.

Re: Silencing of the Fright - Castlevania SotN (PSP version) Blind
You guys are really, really hell-bent on spoiling everything Castlevania to everyone. If you've all played the games and already know what's up, you aren't actually exchanging information, you're just causing collateral spoilers. If anyone wants to read this stuff, they'll Google it. Reciting plot s...

Re: Venturing of the Blight - Castlevania SotN (PSP version) Blind
Wouldn't the entirety of Dracula's castle be a Granfalloon, considering the only thing the monsters seem to have in common is an allergy to scripture and sharp objects? Some of 'em don't even care for Drac himself, as shown in later games.

Re: Venturing of the Blight - Castlevania SotN (PSP version) Blind
The residents of the Catacombs cement Drac as the ultimate equal opportunity employer. Shame about the looting and pillaging the countryside, though. Nobody's perfect, I guess. The silliness is pretty great. You just gotta remember that Castlevania is a tribute to all sorts of monster stories and su...

Gosh darnit, I wasn't trying to diss Dissonance. It was a comparison between the similar origins of both games.

Re: (Craz'd) 2: One hundo!
it still woulda been on the same engine tho i want matt thorson to make a new metroidvania using his current skills, cause AUS was already perfect and that was 8 years ago so who knows what he could accomplish now .. Most likely his Metroid-making skills have completely atrophied away by now....

Re: (Craz'd) 2: One hundo!
There were actually a bunch of people who were trying to create a fanmade sequel to AUS, starting way back in 2009. Unfortunately, it was a typical community-driven project on the internet so it failed miserably. It has popped up repeatedly ever since but never goes anywhere. The last time someone t...

Re: (Craz'd) 2: STACKABLE!
My interpretation of the axe/tree stuff is that the creator wanted to put in a unique key item and picked an axe because why the hell not. "Why the hell not" is a very common game design motif so it might apply in this case.

Re: (Craz'd) 2: Never forget to save!
The reason why I posted that is because you can only find the secret by looking for it. Yeah, it's one of those rare easter eggs that can't be gotten by accident and it would be a shame if everyone missed it because of that.

Re: (Craz'd) 2: Never forget to save!
Twitter feeds are the stories of tomorrow.
Edit: I'm not supposed to tell you this but there's a secret early on that makes sub-10m runs trivial. Haven't tried it myself but I've seen the pictures.

Re: (Craz'd) 2: Never forget to save!
Tropers are curious creatures, permanently stuck in a state of being starstruck, completely unable to even consider the possibility of interacting with the creators of the media they consume in any capacity.
It is a bizarre existence, fully devoid of the Twitters, Tumblrs and Reddits of today.
