Re: Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment - Story Finale - Almaz von Almandine Adamant
Sadly the last expansion will be a prequel, so there will likely be no conclusion to What Happened to the Amulet and Specter Knight's undead state. We might however see what is up with that amulet and how it turns Shield Knight into the enchantress. The Amulet, as implied at the end of Shovel of Ho...

Re: Mega Man 8 - A Saturn for the Better
This is why I think the Saturn version was meant to be the official version of the game. The bolt just being there means they likely cut out the added screen.

What's funny is that we have no way of knowing who's telling the truth re: The End until tomorrow. There's soooooo little in the way of actual...information on the game out there (no Wiki, no TVTropes, very few YouTube videos that aren't the early build of the game/demo), that we have nothing but he...

Re: Mega Man 8 - A Saturn for the Better
I don't think he will. The collectibles don't really do much of anything, and the Super Famicom version lacks much in the way of Pavlovian triggers for raocow toward them.

Re: Mega Man 8 - A Saturn for the Better
Also noteworthy is the fact that Capcom wanted this to be a Sega Saturn exclusive (probably because, as a 2D game, the console was better suited for it), but Sony demanded a release of the game as well (probably holding up Resident Evil's release or something). Not quite so. Sony wanted to only hav...

Re: Mega Man 8 - A Saturn for the Better
Yay, Saturn Mega Man 8 :) That's what I grew up with. Apparently, it's a highly valuable game on the used Saturn game market (you could easily sell it for $300 on eBay without much of a fuss...only other games at that value are some of the late Capcom games, the final U.S. trio, and Radiant Silvergu...

Re: Full Bore - SOOIE! HERE PIG(x26) PIG PIG PIG PIG
I can barely understand what's going on anymore. That said... Okay, it's pretty much set in Santa Rosa. Or post-apocalyptic Santa Rosa. The highway sign in Sunday's video refers to California Route 12 and U.S. Route 101, which intersect just south of downtown Santa Rosa. Makes sense, given the devs ...

Re: Full Bore - SOOIE! HERE PIG(x26) PIG PIG
So it's pretty well established that in an effort to create some intelligence boosting thing for people, scientists/whitecoats used boars as test subjects, and accidently gave them intelligence, who eventually made their own society. So what's the explanation for these moles, the hedgehog, and that...

Re: Mega Man (Game Gear) - Gearing Up for a Disappointment
So...the people responsible for this is U.S. Gold. They were this publisher that made budget ports of games, primarily for the European market. They weren't exactly known for making quality ports in general, which has led to games like...well...this. They got bought by Eidos a year after this was re...

So...this has probably been asked a dozen times, and I do apologize if it has, but now that raocow is going to play all the X games, am I safe to assume that we will also see the Legends series and Zero/ZX series, alongside spin-offs such as Network Transmission & EXE WS, Xtreme 1 and 2, the Won...

Re: Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge - A New World of Trouble
for some reason, all rereleases use the PS version Same reason you don't find the port of, well, any Saturn game: The console was so poorly designed that developing games on it was like writing a book in a language you're not entirely fluent in. I think the only two Saturn games (including Saturn v...

Uuuuh, raocow, you do realize the Japanese name of the GB Mega Man series is Rockman World, right? (I found the rom in 2 seconds...no offense) But anyway, to answer a certain someone: Can someone give a quick breakdown of what each GB game pulled from each console game? Challenger From The Future? Super Adventure Rockman? Has Challenger From the Future been translated? Last I heard it wasn't. SAR I wouldn't count simply because it's a game that hasn't been translated, and given it's an interactive anime, you need subs or something to actually play the game properl...

Re: Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows - Porphyria OR A Royal Knight Out!
Curious to see how raocow fares with that. The same way he handles all customization: he'll find one combo he likes well enough early on and never change to anything else. And from what I recall, that's not gonna work. The tragedy of raocow. But yeah, lob casing is cheap because it's really useful:...

Four things I will say: 1. raocow why do you specifically position yourself in spots on swing bars that will likely cause you to fall? I feel like half of his falls in that one segment of Edgar's world were less about the game being dumb, and more him consistently moving too far to the left when he ...

Re: Psychonauts - (DAD) Dairy Anxiety Disorder
I expect him to not blatantly ram his face into things repeatedly when they're clearly not working. That's what anyone who's putting a modicum of thought into their actions would do. You adapt to a situation as required, otherwise you struggle with it as raocow so frequently does. (Which all too of...
