Re: What are some guilty pleasure games you have?????

Final Fantasy X-2. It has a reputation for being a fan-servicey blatant cash-in on FFX, which is somewhat true. But once you get past that, there's actually a pretty fun game hiding underneath. At least, I enjoyed it much more than I expected. I especially enjoyed the Creature Creator side game in ...

Here's a fun super super short game that raocow could fit into one of those things where he plays many games in one video. A game about being stood up.

Re: Never Again, raocow's in the top ten! He's been training

8flight's MAGL overview level was a really cool idea! I actually liked the unfair difficulty for a change, it reminded me of older raocow SMW LPs where he would die a hundred times per level.

Re: Never Again, raocow's in the top ten! He's been training

I think the disparity in the ratings between the three judges just shows how much personal preference plays in how good a level is to that specific player! That said, I think the general placement of the levels is pretty accurate, with a standard deviation of 10 levels or so. So even if I disagree w...

Re: SMBX Help Thread

Today's MaGL X level had a sign that "self destructed"...how do you do that? Also, would there be a way to make some blocks destroy themselves after a delay, or after the player reaches a certain point? I still haven't totally wrapped my head around how events work... There is two layers. The sign ...

Re: SMBX Help Thread

m = mask, it defines what should and shouldn't be transparent. Usually a mask can also have grays for partial transparency but I don't think SMBX supports that. Also the hitbox is separate from the mask, so even if you make a diagonal block full it will still have the triangular hitbox. You can use...

Re: SMBX Help Thread

Okay, I feel like this should be obvious and the answer is probably written clearly somewhere but I can't find it:

What is the purpose of the black and white 'm' graphics files? For example there will be background-6.gif and background-6m.gif that's a black and white copy.

Re: A2MBXT Discussion Thread

So am I right in thinking that I can put a zebraspace exit in my level if there's a secret boss? I have this idea:
The second half of the level enters a so-called zebraspace which is literally zebra themed and ends with a secret boss that takes you to actual zebraspace.

Re: ASMBXT; Postgame, Twilight of the Great Quest

Kil was the music you used for Luna Tower pieced from several tracks of something? According to the MP3 tags, they are originals from Kil, titles being "Luna Tower" (genre: "Christian Rap") and "Queen of Lunarians?" (genre: "Chistian Gangsta Rap"), from the album "Kil" (2012). I think the music in ...

Yep, good job.

Also, that one would be Contact (also for DS), right?
Yes! I thought the high contrast might make it easily recognizable. You're up again!

I'll give it to distactedOne since s/he is close enough!

It's "Tiny Toon Adventures: Babs' Big Break." Not a very fun game (not even any save capability) but one of the first platformers I ever played.

Re: Bloxart

MWC looks pretty fun in a silly way, I'd like to try it out sometime.

Here's my puzzle. It was too difficult at 10 pixel resolution, so I did 20 pixel resolution. It's kind of an obscure game so if it's still too hard I'll give out some hints.

Wow, you have a LOT of output! I like the freedom in your style. You're not afraid to experiment (like in Let Us Experiment!) and I like that. I haven't listened to everything but I enjoyed what I heard. I enjoyed the beat oriented stuff more than the ambient/orchestral but that's just my personal b...

A search reveals this was suggested last year, but I'll suggest it again since it came up on freeindiegam.es recently.
