Re: thread

I'm not surprised. There's just generally less interest in mucking around with Link's Awakening than there is Link to the Past.

Just like how there's less interest in mucking around with Link to the Past than there is Super Mario World.

Does this mean I have an actual LP project of my own to do next month?

Re: Time For Zelda: Minish Cap

They're kind of the same thing - you have to do half of the dungeon to leave with the fully restored Four Sword so you may as well finish it at that point.

But you're right; I was getting the kinstone fusion that unlocks Biggoron confused with the conditions for unlocking the Mirror Shield.

Re: Time For Zelda: Minish Cap

You're probably better off saving the kinstone fusions for postgame content anyway, as some of them don't open up until after you beat the final boss.

Re: Mega Man II - Quint, but not Essential

The future was peaceful as Wily had reformed and Mega Man, no longer needing weapons, had been remodeled back into a household robot. Uhh... Could they not have just... NOT done that? Like, just in case of the exact scenario that happened? and thus we see that they buried their weapons of peace, or...

Re: COMING UP NEXT

I don't have much technical expertise, but what is the point of the above? BGB has Super Game Boy, and it's simple to use. I looked into basically all of this when I did Link's Awakening and decided that it was better for me if I added the border in post rather than trying to make the border part o...

Re: Mega Man II - Quint, but not Essential

Also, yes... this seems rather deviant from Mega Man 2 mechanics. In fact, it's more like 3... The GB game series in general does that - III mechanically plays more like 4 than 3, and IV draws more heavily from 5's design philosophy than from 4's. It's just most noticeable with II since you get to ...

Re: What games are you playing?

Yep

Battle Network 3 and Ceilick's Commander Keen in The Universe Is Toast are my current streamed games, plus I'm participating in the weekly Zelda 3 rando races starting this Saturday (though only for the Saturday variant - I don't have the right times available for the Sunday one)

Re: What games are you playing?

BN3 won't be concluding this afternoon, if only because I still have the rest of the quote-unquote boss refights to do.

Still, looking forward to having some element that isn't Elec for once.

Re: Mega Man II - Quint, but not Essential

I do remember at one point someone went and hacked MMII so that the music played an octave or so lower and - lo and behold - they sounded not-bad. Don't remember who it was though.

That's incredible news and I can't take any advantage of it since I don't have any Vulkan support.

Tails' Adventure is at least decent (if completely gaiden). Skypatrol... not so much.

Though if you're skilled enough with the battles, making Chapter 4 into Slightly Harder Chapter 4 is worth it.

Re: What games are you playing?

I've been doing a lot of ALttP Randomizer games lately. I'm trying to get my median time under 4 hours so that I can do a one-sitting stream for it before the year's out.

It would help if I didn't keep selecting the Entrance Randomizer.

Is A Hat In Time available on Steam? It looks cute and fun.

In fairness, a 3DS port of the original Paper Mario (or at least N3DS-ported VC Paper Mario) would be a really handy time sink.
