Re: AM2R
protip: magnet links are basically takedown-proof if they don't specify a tracker (and thus work fully peer-to-peer via DHT); the only reason one of those would ever cease to function is if nobody cared to seed it anymore.

Re: LunaLua Offical Thread
Eh, kind of in the other direction; basically, adding a directory for the game to look in when loading a level's txts and graphics replacements.

Re: LunaLua Offical Thread
Hey, I'd like to make a small-but-possibly-tricky request with big technology implications: the ability to add directories to the image/txt/etc. search path list, probably implemented as two global (array) tables (one before the level's directory, one after). This would allow such things as on-deman...

Re: MaGL X2 - SMB2 x MaGL X2 otp
Fun fact: my level was my first ever SMBX creation. My boss was my second.
Also, I think I might have left something hidden behind the Shrinklotron? I forget <.<

Re: LunaLua Offical Thread
Is it currently possible within Luna to: 1) make HTTP requests; 2) access and manipulate files within the current world directory? I have some Shiny Ideas that would make full use of this :3 (if either of those is impossible, I've seen that apparently a DLL can be referenced and used; could this be ...

Ooh, so I guess I'd best write my own PRNG for toolkit inclusion then!

Re: MaGL X2 - SMB2 x MaGL X2 otp
To mirror my comment on teh youtubes: Oh, woooow. Not just the second phase; for whatever reason EVERY reference to the RNG returned 0 there, thus breaking... well, a lot of things; most phases kind of depended on some level of randomization! Guess something changed with LunaLua since submission... ...

Re: MaGL X2 - fanfiction.net (new evening raocow in thread!)
since I have no way to know when my level and/or boss is coming up to point this out at a nearer time, here's something to jot down in your notebook: my level and boss are respectively the first and second thing I've ever seriously made in smbx (and I get the feeling the latter will elicit some disb...

Re: MaGL X2 Discussion (Final-Final Count: 272 Entries + 31 Bosses!)
I think the best thing to limit overload in future contests would be to simply have separate signup and work windows.

Re: MaGL X2 Discussion (Final-Final Count: 272 Entries + 31 Bosses!)
you know what, it would be kind of amusing if my boss tied for third (lol magl1) also, my MaGL and MAFAB entries are respectively the first and second thing I've ever seriously done in SMBX, and I jumped waaaaay off the deep end of technical limit-pushing with the latter :D (super helps that I was w...

Re: MaGL X2 Discussion (Final-Final Count: 272 Entries + 31 Bosses!)
Another big part of the difference with VLDC would probably be the fact that apart from the very bottom and very top, levels right next to each other in ranking generally aren't placed together in actual play order.

Re: MaGL X2 Discussion (Final-Final Count: 272 Entries + 31 Bosses!)
I don't like playing the game in the editor because that means remapping my keyboard controls every time. One of the reasons I didn't test my level(s) as much as I should have for this contest and the original MAGL X. In terms of this, I think I can whip up a little level select hub that using Luna...

Re: MaGL X2 Discussion (Final-Final Count: 272 Entries + 31 Bosses!)
I could probably whip up a fancy list selector in an episode to drop the weekly level packs into, even sectioned by which update they were introduced in (including quick jump between packs); apart from the levels themselves, all each update would involve is an updated lua include file specifying the...

Re: Bug Reports
I've noticed on my Surface Pro 2 that if I leave a tab of this place open in Chrome it eventually starts taking up ~7-10% CPU and heating my system up enough that the fan starts running. No idea why this place in particular, but I barely have such things happen anywhere else, so it's a thing to look...
