Re: All The S@nics - Adventure 2 - Talk About A Low Budget Flight!
I've played this level enough to know the ins and outs of rails, and it does get really fun when you know what you're doing. ...but those vertical rail set pieces you have to homing attack to scale still don't feel safe at all, and it really is just a lack of feedback. If the homing attack just had ...

Re: All Of Sh@d@w - Adventure 2 - Hey, You Know What This Place Looks Like? Looks Like Pumpkin Hill! DODODODODO
From my experience playing and watching others play, the Sonic Adventure games work a good amount of the time if you play the way the developers expect you to. This depends solely on whether or not the player picks up on how they should interpret the mechanics, set pieces, and whatnot. This level ha...

Re: Batting A Thousand - Adventure 2 - Eggman, I Found Your Weed Supplier Through Your Twitter Account, Thanks, Man
Secondly we see the ghosts for the first time today! For some reason this game has this weird thing with these ghosts, man, and they legitimately jumpscare you like as seen here. I think they're seriously creepy, partially because of just how inexplicable they are as a running theme in this game wh...

Re: All The E.G.G.M.E.N. - Adventure 2 - You Fool. I Have 70 ALTERNATIVE ACCOUNTS!
I know this game was the second Sonic game I ever played, because my first was Sonic Advance and I thought Knuckles was a girl until I heard his voice. This game was always half pet simulator to me, and the animal locations actually changed how I played the levels and encouraged me to keep playing f...

Re: All The S@nics - Shuffle - Bored Game
my understanding is that the card system doesn't let you go back because "well what if you picked an opponent's card and it sucked" but also, why not apply that only to the opponent's cards and not your own cards, which you can already see I'd say that it's because the other (human) playe...

Re: MaGL 3 results: get counting someguy712x
raocow, the doodlesaur is a lot easier if you spin jump. Also, I didn't think I'd get this far in the contest, let alone a judge favorite. I'm satisfied with that, at least. I wanted to do a level that didn't really work in a full hack, so I went with "Someone's designing a level, and this is t...

Re: Make A Good Level Contest (SMW) 3 - Discussion
I think I'm burnt out on ASM for now. I had multiple ideas for this contest that I could use for that one, but they were mostly just ways to utilize HDMA, nothing fancy with custom sprites or blocks or anything. I really like HDMA. I had some more effects planned for the level I did make, but they d...

Re: Make A Good Level Contest (SMW) 3 - Discussion
Jesus, I hope everything goes well when the judges and rao play my level. A majority of the time spent on my level was ASM coding and debugging, and I'm still worried about there being a bug I might've missed. My hope extends to all others who did their own ASM for their levels (I haven't played any...

Whenever raocow comes across the flower thing from Yoshi's Island that you throw enemies into for stars, he calls it the Flesh Lord because of reasons you can probably imagine.Validon98 wrote:I only remember the Blood God from ASMBXT. Flesh Lord? Wha?

Re: Twitter: The Thread
Buying that on launch was a huge mistake. It had a really crappy lineup up until... I think OoT3D? Dude I got twenty free games out of it, most of which I'd never played before. We didn't get Superstar Saga so it wasn't worth it. But we got Wario Land 4 and Metroid Fusion, so it was totally worth it.

The resprite needs to look poisonous/deadly/as if will do bad things to you. It can't just be a big hunk of cheese unless we make it known that it's deadly early in the game.

If it were up to me, I'd make the following changes: Bowser --> Pily Ludwig --> Pandamona (assuming she can use her box as a shell) Larry --> Science Birdo --> Nevada shooting fruit Boom Boom --> ...Calleoca? Mouser and Wart would have to be Garish and Mishi, but I don't know how that would work. In...

Re: AZCT: A Zelda Classic Thing - Basic Planning Thread
If someone wants to replace me on Hipster Glasses duty, they're welcome to. I wanted to do a sort of color puzzle dungeon where hidden switches would be found via solving tile patterns, but my inexperience with the engine and overall inability to make difficult dungeons/puzzles are sort of making th...

The three I meant were Squigly, Big Band, and Robo Fortune. They're almost done with Squigly, I think, and then they'll move on to Big Band.

Re: Skullgirls Character Talk
They'll put in Squigly, Big Band, Eliza, Beowolf, and Robo Fortune. Most likely in that order.
If they receive the funds necessary to create another DLC character, they will. I'm not sure if there will be a vote for that or not.
