People "shouldn't" try endgame-difficulty as one of their first levels. More often than not, they end in disaster. From experience, people shouldn't try for end game difficulty at all. Just make your world 1 level, it will probably suffice. :/ Edit: also, I enabled hats and they are annoy...

Yeah, but you'd have to translate that number into a something usable, so you'd have to translate that into a tile position for the player. Then you'd have to figure out the offset of the screen. And figure out which enemies to show (and do AI for). Plus it's probably a system they felt comfortable...

I think thwomp is just set up to do that, possibly as a warning, since any sprite I make that uses proximity doesn't trigger when you are on the other side of the screen.
