Agreed that the saw part is the weakest of the various parts in the level. The sprite bounce block there isn't really put to interesting use with it, instead just adding to the strange tedium of having to manage spin jumps on the saw while not being killed from the vertical sprite movement glitch. Unsure why the first level even needed the yoshi wings sublevel transition since it didn't use the gimmick of the wings level at all, not even the "clear the level when you exit the bottom of the screen" part, since the end of the area teleported you to a final area with the goal sphere. A...

Second level feels like it has pacing issues because the moles want you to move fast to deal with their timing windows and then the pokeys just slow it all down. I wonder how much better it would feel to play and judge if the pokeys had a faster x-speed?

I think it's probably safe to say this hack will look pretty rough upon replay, with 11 additional years of smw hacking development and technical advancements. But there was always a certain heart and soul in the hack that I do admire. I miss when everyone was younger and had the free time available...

DK is basically the worst kong to do the crown fights with because he lacks a running attack that knocks the kasplats on their butts. I always found Lanky best because his arms reach so far.

Gloomy Galleon is where a lot of enthusiastic runs of this game died for me, and probably many others. You're not missing anything about the minigame barrel at the end of the episode raocow. You're absolutely intended to ponytail twirl into it but you kept missing by a fraction each time. That vine is also just decoration and not climbable.

Honestly I feel like the rainbow money is a bit of a mistake in this game, because while finding money for stuff with each kong may not be the most fun thing to have to do, the rainbow money almost completely negates the need to seek out individual kongs' money in levels.

Even as someone who has good depth perception in 3D games, judging depth in the swimming water barrel is really hard. I blame the fact the coins don't cast shadows, and the fact that the camera is so far zoomed out. That is one minigame that you definitely shouldn't have to apologize too hard for.
