Re: Nachos and Fried Oreos - 1 - Jellos and Corn Nuts

Small town diners in some places in America may also do them as a weird dessert item. Rest assured they are very real, though I have not eaten one before.

How confident of you to choose the hardest available difficulty. Good luck!

Re: BIG THE CAT'S SONIC ADVENTURE STORY IT'S SOMETHING BIG OH YEAH

I wondered about that. It's been a very long time since I played the game so I forgot. I also figure we won't see them in this run, since I don't think raocow's doing extra missions in these playthroughs.

Re: BIG THE CAT'S SONIC ADVENTURE STORY IT'S SOMETHING BIG OH YEAH

For whatever reason Big's Hot Shelter is actually way larger than what we saw. You can go swimming through a tunnel and find entire other rooms with fish. Someone in the YT comments even said that it has a checkpoint. Big's levels tend to have extra places in them, though there's rarely any reason t...

Re: A Lovely Bouquet Of Roses - Adventure - The Great Bird Man

i usually just destroy the things shooting the lasers in final egg but vaulting them like a badass works too Also Amy gets Hot Shelter and Final Egg, two nearly identical level themes, back to back and it's kinda dulling Also her Final Egg is way shorter than Hot Shelter, so it feels really anticli...

Re: A Lovely Boquet Of Roses - Adventure - The Great Bird Man

Pretty sure you can bonk the robot with the hammer to get it to stumble. Know-It-All kid is mostly just saying you can't permanently defeat it.

Re: All The S@nics & Knockles - Adventure - Crystals Have Power

Same, Sonic levels usually look pretty nice but they're over in a flash. Letting Knuckles take some time to slow down and look for stuff isn't a bad idea. I like the levels in 2 better, but the radar is nowhere near as good as the one in 1.

Re: Super SIG World 38 - Sick Infectious Germs

In spite of being a proponent of the hack this whole time, I can't help but agree with raocow rushing through this last stuff. Clip shows are not particularly interesting, and Bowser's Castle already was one. To have 4 more levels of negative zone replays with no midpoints and harder enemy placement...

Re: Super SIG World 38 - Slippery Ice Gamut

I feel like this usually happens across a sample of japanese hacks I've seen played here. Either the hack is hard from the start, or it follows a difficulty curve but has a rather large spike towards the end. Unfortunately, parts of this are the wrong kind of hard, especially the lack of midpoints i...

Re: A Thousand Miles - Adventure (singular) - His Hero

Yeah I'm pretty sure Tails' stuff happens first and then Sonic sees Eggman in the jungle as he's coming back from defeat in Station Square.

I forgot how menacing Eggman sounds at the end of Tails' story! It's freaky!

It could be my PC, but I've got a fairly solid cpu with a pretty good graphics card. Obviously results may vary but I'm just sharing my experience with playing it.

Re: COMING UP NEXT

Having played a little of SF: Adventures recently through Dolphin, it does not emulate the best. It's playable, but hits a lot of slowdown, and the audio and cutscene playback is tied to framerate, so if the framerate dips due to poor emulation, you get really scratchy, slow audio. There are also so...

Re: Super SIG World 38 - Spikes Impale Gently

I appreciate the generous use of switch palace blocks to really make them feel worth your while to get, and also that multiple colors of them are used in levels, making it so that if you found one but missed another, you'll still receive a little help somewhere.

Re: Super SIG World 38 - Spooky Invisible Ghosts

I was thinking similarly but for the third level. The second half's idea of using lots of the sideways rock platform mixed with horizontal koopas and the upwards scroller was pretty neat, and I could see someone developing the idea further into something a bit more complex.

Re: All The S@nics - Adventure - The New Frontier

To be fair to Sonic he doesn't actually spend that long getting sidetracked. Mission 1 is rescuing Tails, Missions 2-4 are finding Chaos Emeralds so Eggman can't get them (though that always fails), Missions 5-6 are looking for Amy (which is the main sidetrack), then 7 is chasing Eggman, 8 is on Egg...

Re: Super SIG World 38 - Sneaky Imperial-red Gimmick

Using Z-Ordering as a way to hide the secret exit was pretty clever, and I thought the Switch Palace was also cute. Plenty of bonus to be had there but it was also kind of dangerous at the same time, since lava was around.

Re: All The S@nics - Adventure - The New Frontier

I always remember Lost World because the snake room was so hard for me as a kid. The fact Sonic always slips and slides while riding it is so unsettling.

Re: Super SIG World 38 - Stealthily Inserting Goals

This hack is growing on me. It's a little bland compared to what we usually see but I get a sense of heart from it. It's like a nice sugar cookie, in that I usually want chocolate chip cookies, but I like sugar perfectly fine and sometimes that's what I want. The same can be said here. It's a nice p...

Re: Super SIG World 38 - Slowly Improving Gem

Feeling better about the hack this morning. There were some decent ideas with pathing and basic platform setups. The only thing I dislike is that the hack uses the free movement camera, where it's always trying to track Mario's Y-position. That camera movement always starts to trigger some kind of m...
