hmm, does the select = invincibility sound effect work in accurate emulation? or is it replacing an otherwise necessary series of NOPs?

will look at that disasm when i get a minute and see what i find - probably answer my own questions, haha

unfortunately the process differs by sound environment you have set up. i've got Realtek and the solution there is to change the audio input to Stereo Mix

also it's probably best to not rely on CamStudio for recording audio; just leave it to Audacity or something

the head that is up is mine sorry about stuff. i actually scrapped my old idea for use of sublevels D0~D3 because of the initial comments on smwcp and long-time criticisms of asmt. when people complained about excessive item carrying puzzles, i thought "oh no...that's exactly where my level is ...

the wiki is throwing a "too many connections" error at me. so when that resolves, i'd like to give up two of my exgfx slots, since i only need one (now that i know what exgfx is). i'd also like to request a sprite slot in the generator section. thanks

no, those still have to be applied separately in 1.7x. you can indicate, however, that fastrom is on it by checking the "use fastrom addressing for this rom" tab in the level settings thing (forget what it's called). or you can apply extreme fastrom, but note that lm spits out an error eve...

i've played the underside and while it is quite like cave story, it has its own identity: story, world design, things like that. i think of it as more of a cave story tribute or a fan game than a copy, because it is original and has a level editor
